Inter president Massimo Moratti insists he is unaware of any meeting between Didier Drogba and club representatives.

The Chelsea striker is alleged to have met Inter's sporting director Marco Branca and coach Jose Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes in a Fulham restaurant on Monday evening.

Moratti claims Inter are not on the look-out for a new striker, though, and even suggested Drogba may be angling for a move to the Italian champions.

"I believe the desire is more the player's than anything else," said the Inter supremo.

"I didn't even know (about any meeting) and I will get an explanation of what happened.

"We don't need any strikers."

Mourinho currently has Adriano, Hernan Crespo, Julio Cruz and Zlatan Ibrahimovic at his disposal, although the Portuguese coach signed Drogba for Chelsea in 2004.

Drogba's dream double

Didier Drogba has set his sights on forming a "dream" partnership with free-scoring Nicolas Anelka for Chelsea.

Anelka has taken advantage of the Ivory Coast striker's injury problems at the start of this season to secure a regular spot in attack for the Blues.

Drogba has had to be content with a place on the bench in recent weeks. However, the 30-year-old is determined to bounce back by being let loose with Anelka for the second half of the season.

He said: "Nico is in top form but that doesn't surprise me. When he was at Bolton, he scored lots of goals and his team were low down the table so I knew he was going to succeed at Chelsea.

"He is benefiting from the fact he is playing regularly and I am happy for him. The dream for both of us is to play together in attack.

"I am sure we could score lots of goals but for that to happen, we must be playing together."

Real Madrid In Milan To Meet With Inter’s Crespo

Los Merengues officials are reportedly in Milan, to discuss a contract for Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo.

Since the long-term injury to star striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy, the Spanish giants have made it clear that they are in need of a world class striker, to replace the Dutchman for the remainder of the season.

As a result, many names have been linked to the club in recent times, and the want away Inter striker, Hernan Crespo, is one of those.

He has had a tough campaign in the Italian top flight thus far, as his former boss at Chelsea, Jose Mourinho, has taken charge in Milan. As a result, Crespo has received very little playing time all term, as he finds himself behind the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Adriano, Julio Cruz, and Mario Balotelli, in the Inter attacking ranks.

Real Madrid have expressed their interest in the experienced, yet unsettled Argentinean striker, and according to Tuttomercatoweb in Italy, the sports director of Real Madrid, Predrag Mijatovic, will meet with Crespo himself, and his agent Fernando Hidalgo in the coming days.

The offer is reportedly set to be a six month loan contract, with the option of making the deal a permanent one, come the end of the season.

Hidalgo has made it clear however that the issue at present is that his client is keen for a valid contract that will expire no earlier than 2010.

Real are meanwhile prepared to set targets, based on goals scored and games played, in order to give Crespo the opportunity to prove himself, and thus extend his contract with the nine time European champions.

The Argentinean has spent three seasons with the Nerazzurri, since initially joining them on loan from Chelsea back in 2006.
