I would still stick with cordoba and samuel.Matrix will play one game like this and you know never know which matrix will turn up the next game.Cordoba is more consistent and that is way to go.Chivu and these two are the best defenders we have.

Inter clearly deserved to win this Derby d'Italia and Susy Campanale warns there are lessons to be learned by both sides
After a match like this, the Italian media pores over the implications of every result and how it 'redraws the boundaries' of what a side can be expected to achieve. Jose Mourinho emerges triumphant, tactically astute and able to fit the system to his men with a diamond midfield rather than stick with the 4-3-3 that was leaking goals. He took a gamble on Adriano and it paid off, as he left Nicola Legrottaglie and Giorgio Chiellini with a few bruises, a battle for every ball. His side is all about brute strength, like a tank.

So, usually, are Juventus. Claudio Ranieri's men tend to squeeze the life out of opponents and break through with a moment of magic, but that's a little difficult to come by when the strikers are completely cut off from the rest of the team. Tiago Mendes limped off with a suspected sprained knee after 90 seconds of play. It wouldn't have been a problem had Juve not been missing all their creative central midfielders already. I realise they have notched together seven consecutive victories, including the double over Real Madrid, but there are limits to what can be done in such circumstances and for how long.

Many ask if Ranieri should have changed approach, such as introducing Mauro Camoranesi earlier or the pure talent of Sebastian Giovinco, but truth be told this was not their arena. San Siro was a gladiatorial arena last night and not one for the diminutive 'Atomic Ant', who can get barged off the ball at the best of times. What other options did the Coach really have? If Juventus have notched up seven straight wins during an injury crisis of epic proportions, then a slender defeat to a practically full-strength Inter can hardly be considered a humiliating setback. The real Juve are still to come.

I think it is safe to say that we have found the real Inter. Up until now they have managed to play this well only in fits and starts, usually needing a moment of magic from Zlatan Ibrahimovic to see them through or choking on the big occasion. Rock solid and hard-working, this is what Mourinho's side can give to its fans. That is assuming they can keep this up, for we have seen too many times the Beneamata stroll through a game, relying on those sudden bursts of energy to fell the startled opponent.

We'll have to wait and see how the 'real' Inter do against the 'real' Juve when they meet again later this season. In the meantime, the tacticians and players must learn the lessons from this Derby d'Italia.

Moratti acclaims Mourinho

Inter president delighted with win over Juve

Massimo Moratti has heaped praise on Jose Mourinho following Inter Milan's win over Juventus.

Inter produced a fantastic performance to defeat their fierce rivals 1-0 thanks to Sulley Muntari's goal.

Adriano returned to the side after being left out in recent weeks for repeatedly turning up late to training.

Inter are now three points clear at the top of the Serie A table, while they are also set to advance to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

Moratti believes the Nerazzurri are stronger than they have been for years and has identified Mourinho's man-management skills as a key factor.

"It has been Mourinho's win," the club president told Mediaset after Saturday's match.

"He managed in a really good way Adriano, a player who can still give us a lot, and I've seen the best Inter of the last seasons.

"This is a group that promises to be able to do good things in other competitions as well.

"I like the humility of this Inter. Our coach is really good in organising on the ground a group full of many important individuals."

Real Madrid Deal Depends On Crespo

Real Madrid have reportedly offerend a non-negotiable deal to Hernan Crespo and it is now up to the Argentine whether or not he wants to accept it...

Real Madrid have been searching for a striker ever since learning that Ruud Van Nistelrooy would be out for the rest of the season. Many names have been linked with the Merengues, including Inter's Hernan Crespo, who seems a viable option for the La Liga champions, especially because he is eligible for the Champions League.

According to Spanish newspaper As, Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic has proposed a non-negotiable deal to the former Chelsea player. The club have offered Crespo a contract that will expire in June 2009, with the option to extend for another year.

However, it is believed that the ex-Lazio hitman would prefer a contract until June 2010, but the Madrid board are unwilling to budge. As such, it is now up to Crespo to decide whether he will accept Mijatovic's terms or continue sitting on the bench at Inter under Jose Mourinho.

Should a deal be reached, it would occur during the winter transfer window and the Argentine could play for Real Madrid from January onwards.

The player has seen extremely little time on the pitch this season and has yet to score, furthermore, he was not included in Inter's Champions League squad.

It has been suggested if an agreement for Crespo cannot be reached, then Bernd Schuster's team will offer a deal to Real Zaragoza's Ricardo Oliveira, who had a short stint with AC Milan two seasons ago.

Dacourt's Bologna link quelled - Midfielder content at Inter following reports of impending exit

Olivier Dacourt's agent has rejected rumours suggesting he could leave Inter Milan to join Bologna.

The former Leeds United and Everton midfielder has struggled for first-team football at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza under boss Jose Mourinho this season.

Reports have claimed Dacourt could sign for Serie A rivals Bologna in January, with the Frenchman's current contract due to expire at the end of the season.

However, Dacourt's advisor, Giorgio De Giorgis, insists the 34-year-old is focused on breaking into the Inter side after recently overcoming injury.

"I have spoken to Olivier and he told me he didn't know anything about Bologna, so this just goes to show that the news was without any foundation," De Giorgis told Novantesimo.it.

"Dacourt is doing well at Inter and he knows he has the qualities. He has just recovered from a serious injury and he knows he can find a space in the team."
