AC Milan's managing director Adriano Galliani has denied making an approach to Lyon for highly-rated forward Karim Benzema. The 20-year-old France international has been linked with moves to some of Europe's leading clubs after breaking on to the scene last season. However, Galliani has denied claims that his club have already tabled an offer for one of the hottest prospects in European football.

"Benzema is a good player, but we haven't spoken to him," he told the Corriere dello Sport. "President Jean-Michel Aulas and Lyon are a very expensive shop, so he will stay where he is. I don't want to disturb Lyon. Benzema is a great player, he is young, but there is really nothing there with us."

Meanwhile, another France international, Yoann Gourcuff, has dropped a major hint that he will stay with Bordeaux beyond the end of his season-long loan. The 22-year-old had struggled to make his mark during two seasons at AC Milan, but has impressed since returning to his homeland in August.

Gourcuff told L'Equipe: "I haven't turned the page as far as going back to Milan is concerned. I belong to them. I watch their matches, look at their results and their news and I am happy about what is happening at Milan this season. But in my head, I am a Bordeaux player. We will see what happens at the end of the season, but what is sure is that I will not go back there under the same conditions."

Galliani has said it many times before that Lyon is an exspensive boutique to shop in, just a thought how would you feel if we got Grosso? i think hes a legend of a player and deserves more credit, as well we must get Gourcuff back and play the 4-1-3-2 formation as well for january how about Zapata from udinese as a long term replacment for Nesta or Kala as well bonera is getting slowley stronger game by game and Capitano will play the odd game when hes fitn enough

How to you suggest a team can function when playing with no midfielders that can defend, but with attcking full backs?

That team is so unbalanced it is unreal.

so whats it matter we cant score atm we need to go all out attack as we wont keep gettin penaltys galore will we and until somebody steps it up to score us out goals we are in real crap

But if you play that formation, you will concede three goals every game other game and you wouldn't have anyone to win the ball and give it to the attackers.

And it wouldn't surprise me if you did keep on getting penalties...

I think it is just as well for Milan that Ancelotti is rather more cautious.
