Jaaaaaaaaaasus quite day on the Roma front. The Derby is this weekend right?

Roma have suffered another injury scare ahead of Sunday's Derby della Capitale as Francesco Totti limped out of training this morning. Yesterday, Daniele De Rossi injured his wrist, but the problem wasn't as serious as initially feared and the Azzurri star looks likely to play against Lazio. However, just as Luciano Spalletti breathed a sigh of relief, skipper Totti gave him a fresh headache.

The Giallorossi talisman reported a pain in his knee early in today's training session and put ice on his knee before leaving the action minutes later. Spalletti faces a worrying wait to see whether Er Pupone will be fit to play in the Rome derby and De Rossi will also have tests tomorrow. The good news for the Lupi is that goalkeeper Alexander Doni has made a positive recovery from his head injury and will be able to play without protective headgear.


Although La Gazzetta are more optimistic that Totti will play, and say that Taddei is more of an injury concern with a dodgy left thigh:

Someone level with me here. Are Totti's fitness problems related to the fact that he just hasn't had enough time to recuperate from them, or is he (God forbid) one of those players that as they get older just constantly struggle? It seems like if it isn't one thing, it's another?

Im looking forward to seeing Doni in one of those Cech head gears. Now maybe we could put him in a straightjacket and throw him in a padded room for the rest of the season along with loria, cicinho, vucinic, spalletti, Rosella, Prade, and whomever else i forgot.

The only, and i mean only, way for me to forget this terror of a season for a brief period is a win on Sunday.
