The funniest thing was as soon as Burdisso scored their third goal, the camera cut straight to Mourinho who was just nodding his head... I have no doubt in my mind he was thinking " That's the last game you ever going to play, son".

Anyway, Bremen lost so all we have to do is beat Pana and we're through top of the group. Now let's see how we go vs Udinese.

We've been linked with Thiago Silva (CB) for a while now and rumors have it that he'll arrive in January. Anything is better than Burdisso at this stage and with Rivas/Chivu out for a while, we might see this deal done.

I really doubt we'll look for that playmaking CM now as there won't be any good players made available to buy mid season so it might be a relatively quiet window.

I'm actually interested to know if anyone has seen Aquafresca/Coutinho in action this season. You'd imagine Coutinho at 17 would be too young to hold the the CM position but we did pay a huge amount for him and with Crespo/Cruz not looking likely to stay on for next season, I wonder if Aqua will be brought back and if we do have a position available for him.

Huge - comparitvely speaking; There aren't many clubs who are buying 16 year olds, who hadn't even made their first team debut, for 3.8 million euros.
