i need a medal or something... i just singlehandedly convinced a group of 17 or so youth backpackers in the hostel i just echecked into today to get their butts up at 7:30 in the morning to go get tickets for the roma game... when i say singlehandedly.. i mean singlefuckinghandedly!

True even though Spalletti could have tried other alternatives... Know whether it would have been enough to change things is another story though

Yes aba that's what i am saying... I do not understand how Spalletti can still name him in the starting 11.
I was honestly thinking at the beginning of the season that he could be a great help for the team.
From what we have seen so far, his defensive weaknesses are huge. And he has brought shit offensively.
I am not saying that he wont get better with the team after some more time but it should be time for him to stay on the bench for a while now.

We have been waiting for his big game for 2 months already...so yes, for sure we've never been so close.
I would rather expect a big game from the whole team with the 3 points necessary to qualify.
This game tonight will very much depend on the ambitions of Chelsea. If they are really coming to get the 3 points, then it s gonna be a very though 90 minutes.
Would a draw satisfy u guys???

fack no! i didnt come out all the way to italy to see a thrashing in Udine, a freak thunderstorm in Rome, an embaressesment in Turin and then a farkin draw/loss in Rome again!!!

I still cant beleive i went to a game that got abandoned due to a thunderstorm :shock:

I hope they will play for a win obviously but when I think about the opportunities we've had there in London...I feel scared.

They have to play this game for a win... but I'll take a draw right now too Jamoldo.
Even the game in Romania will be easier than this one...unless Chelsea are not coming for a result...who knows...???

Shield, a draw against a top Chelsea side would be a huge morale boost for the boys. We should be able to take Cluj away and Bordeaux at home (in theory, given our squad, not based on form). 7 points out of a possible 9 is not bad.

Well, with dibdib about perhaps we should be praying that another downpour, as forecasted, may allow us to put this game off until he's safely out of the city. I'm not sure I can cope with his disastrous influence for another night. No doubt the footballing gods are evening it up for his moment in the sun in that 6-2 trouncing. Is Spags really going to go with Taddei and Panucci down the right? Surely either of them and, as appropriate, Cicinho or Menez. I know Spags is just going back into the bunker of the old tried and trusted, but really, is the return of Totti so significant that it can compensate for all of the disastrousnesses of Saturday? With Riise and Panucci we get no go-forward from the fullbacks which means we can't keep the ball in the middle of the park and switch it from flank to flank. No doubt he's worried about Chelski's two wide players up top, but surely first and foremost he's got to worry about getting our boys back playing some football.
