MILANO. 4 novembre 2008 - Alessandro Nesta è in partenza per Miami. Il difensore sta male, ha nuovamente problemi alla schiena ed è molto arrabbiato per la situazione. Così ha chiesto ad Ancelotti il permesso (già concesso, in attesa dell'autorizzazione della società) di volare in Florida, dove ha una casa e dove già nel dicembre del 2006 era andato per la riabilitazione dopo un'operazione alla spalla.
INCOGNITA RECUPERO - E' difficile stabilire i tempi di recupero, anche se è logico ipotizzare che rivedremo il difensore a Dubai nel raduno invernale. Il problema alla schiena va definitivamente risolto anche a costo di ricorrere a un'operazione che tutti hanno voluto evitare, ma che probabilmente era la strada più rapida (e forse anche la migliore) per arrivare alla guarigione. In fondo solo così Serginho era tornato a giocare: a causa di un'ernia nel 2006-07 il brasiliano era stato fermo sei mesi, tre dei quali trascorsi in attesa che la terapia conservativa portasse qualche frutto. E invece, nulla: alla fine il brasiliano (che aveva 35 anni contro i 32 attuali di Nesta) fu operato e nel giro di novanta giorni tornò in campo. Alla luce dei fatti furono buttati via tre mesi e l'impressione è che lo stesso errore sia stato commesso con Nesta.
IL PROBLEMA - Alessandro si era bloccato alla schiena il 13 luglio: protrusione discale con schiacciamento di due vertebre. Dopo lunghe settimane di terapia conservativa aveva cominciato la preparazione debuttando in amichevole a Tirana il 14 ottobre. Ecco il suo commento dopo quella gara: "E' andato tutto bene, non ho dolori. Adesso devo lavorare sulla velocità, quindi difficilmente sarò disponibile domenica". E la domenica (Milan-Sampdoria, 19 ottobre) Nesta va in panchina. Poi, stop: scomparso. Qualche ammissione da parte di Ancelotti ("Ci vorrà ancora un po' di tempo") e l'amara verità: la schiena fa nuovamente male. Ai compagni Nesta ha confidato di avvertire un dolore forte e nello spogliatoio è sembrato demoralizzato: il suo calvario sembra infinito e magari Alessandro dovrebbe trovare anche dentro di sé la forza per reagire. Tra il difensore e lo staff medico del Milan i rapporti sono tesi da tempo. Anche l'infortunio alla spalla fu gestito male: inizialmente sembrava che non fosse necessario l'intervento chirurgico, ma in realtà il tendine era staccato quasi completamente.
SOLO BONERA - A parte Nesta, la situazione dei centrali difensivi rossoneri non è certo tranquillizzante. Considerando che Philippe Senderos in due mesi di Milan si è infortunato tre volte senza giocare un minuto in gare ufficiali, che Paolo Maldini ha fatto una risonanza per un dolore muscolare (nulla di grave, per fortuna), che Kakha Kaladze è pronto ma sempre un po' a rischio, viene da dire: meno male che c'è (e gioca bene) Daniele Bonera.

I dont know what to say, this is bad and Im very sorry to see a legend like Nesta out for prolonged periods of time...we have to remember though that he had a lengthy absence in 06-07 and returned just in time for the decisive part of our CL triumph, so I hope he can be back in time in the decisive part again... The fact that our defence(so far) is holding in his absense is a minor miracle. Senderos the moron was supposed to be a cover for our rather often injury-prone CB department, and instead the asshole has been injured since day 1. This one makes me very angry, I dont know if we have a curse on central-defenders or what? We haven't had a relatively injury-free-CB season since 03/04

Its time for Milan to find proper replacement for both Nesta and Maldini. Enough farting around with youngsters like Senderos and Favali, Milan need to spend big to bring in proper defenders.

i dont mind this one bit. i think hes deserved and earned it, and its always good to have such a reliable player as your 3rd striker.

some reports are saying that nesta may take an early retirement, which sucks balls. he was such a classy player and graceful in all of his actions. lets hope he comes back stronger.

some transfer speculation is saying we've got first option on cigarini from parma's half, as they co-own him with atalanta. we're on good terms with parma as we have sent paloschi to them on loan. hes scored 2 goals in 9 games for them so far, so hes not tearing it up [as yet].

apparently, we're being linked with mexes again, for this winter; depending on roma's progress in the CL knockout stages. we'll see what happens.

just from watching the highlights of the first half, it seems like senderos is really out of his league playing for milan. and not in the good way

i really hope senderos is just unfit. he has been horrible, and all the chances braga have had are because of his mistakes.

gattuso has been a fucking monster, he has been our player of the season so far. he's transformed to a player we havent seen because of pirlo. he attacks and defends, and hes pulling some amazing passes out of his ass, not just today but in most of our games this season.

hate to point out the obvious, but kaka's been pretty damn good so far, too. these two players were really struggling with form last year and now that they're back, we're on top.
