Our 1st trophy of the season!!!! Great 2nd half

im glad Pippo proved me wrong, he wasn't special at all in the first half, Sevilla's physical and tight marking made it difficult for him, and for that matter the whole team, to do anything, it seemed to me that Gila was suited more because of his physical and also incisive power in the air. We fully deserved to beat a dangerous team like Sevilla, this should a message to our rivals, both in Italy and Europe

we should thank Nesta for saving us when it was 0-1 and he cleared it off the line, we were very good, Pirlo amazing, the only exception is Dida, the season is 2 games old and im already fuming at this fuck, 7/10 is way too generous, i give him a mere 4 at best, he was uncrertain and clueless everytime we got dangerous cross. We looked in good shape

Watched the European SuperCup, few notes:

• Pirlo is a truely amazing player, and I know that all here and all fans of calcio know that, but I still feel that he is somewhat underated and not really appriciated enough of what he can do around Europe. And in particular, I do mean in England, which is no surprise really. Some of the passes he was pinging around there tonight were sheer class, and a great ball for Janko and a stunning, stunning goal, reminiscent of that Totti goal v Sampdoria.

• Dani Alves is certainly NOT worth €20 or €30 or whatever-bleedin-million.

• Dida is still the Dida we have all seriously cringed at times. He is still dodgy, and is still a very big reliability to Milan and their ambitions of success, and if anything he is only getting worse. To me, it raises the question again – something which is a mystery to me and something I can't understand – is why Milan don't buy Marco Amelia? He is a talented young keeper, one who is available for transfer at the right price, and its not like Milan have spent a fortune this summer, so surely they should have invested in him. It could, and probably will, come back to haunt Ancellotti that he did not invest in a new 'keeper.

• Very nice touch by Kaka, who after scoring the (rebound) peno, pointed at his Puerta jersey (they all wore them) and signaled to the Sevilla fans. Not only a decent player but a decent bloke too (Seedorf tried to do a similar gesture when comin off but he was just copying Kaka and looked silly).

• Even though this is me first time seein them in action this season, Milan still play some of the best football in Europe. Yes, they perhaps are a bit suspect at the back, and certainly are very suspect in dealing with high balls at the back (due in large part to Dida, naturally), but still some of the football they produce is just lovely to watch. Its funny, last season nearly everyone was writing them off, saying they are too old and too slow and too old and too smelly and too old as well, but yet they deservedly won the Champions League. This season, again, I'm hearing the same thing – from the media to other pundits (both outside Italy) and from friends – they are too old, they are too slow, but if it ain't broke don't fix it, and with the addition of Emerson, who will fit in nicely in the centre of midfield, and a hotshot youngster in Pato (come January), and with Kaka, Pirlo, Nesta and Seedorf all in great form, and also what looks like a revunated Ronaldo (who could explode), who's to say they won't do it again this season in Europe. My main worry about them would be, obviously, the aging defence, and what the likes of the young and fast attacking play of teams like Barca, Man Utd and Arsenal could do to 54-year-old Maldini and co.

• That dirty fucking scumbag wanker Poulsen is nothing but a dirty fucking scumbag wanker, and if anyone deserved to be at the receiving end of a Berlusconi-hired mafia-style hit it is that butchering fucktit. Ok, he is a solid player, and played very well out of position at centre-half, but the way he tackles and man-handles his oppenent (mostly Pippo) makes Marco Materazzi look like a bleedin fairy with bows on top. He was dragging out of Kaka (who I thought was going to lose it and retaliated, and who could blame him?), pulling Inzaghi around like Glad with a picture of Rosella, and generally looked like he belonged in that extreme fighting thing. Scumbag. I hope we play Sevilla at some stage this season and Barusso chops the fucker in two.

• Even though Milan play fantastic football, I predict they will lose three times to Roma this season. Once in Rome, once in Milan, and once, ladies and gents, in Moscow.

• Dida is fucking muck.

Pirlo lights up saddest night

Andrea Pirlo felt AC Milan paid their respect to Antonio Puerta by producing a terrific second-half display – none better than from the Italy midfielder – to defeat Sevilla FC 3-1 in the UEFA Super Cup.

Humble
Sevilla, spurred by their desire to retain this crown for their team-mate, made a fine start at the Stade Louis II and took the lead through Renato's 14th-minute header. It was a different Milan which emerged for the second half, though, as Pirlo pulled the strings from deep to orchestrate a comeback which reaped goals for Filippo Inzaghi and Kaká either side of a Marek Jankulovski volley which owed itself as much to Pirlo's sublime pass as the Czech's delightful finish. "It was a decent pass," said the 28-year-old humbly, "but the goal was all about the strike."

Mixed emotions
Pirlo picked up the Carlsberg Man of the Match award as well as a winners' medal, although his performance was overshadowed by the occasion. "I think it was probably my best performance in a final," he said. "I've played well in other finals but they’re always great events and it was wonderful to win. It was my saddest final, too. It was difficult to face up to the situation but we proved that we also played for [Puerta] and did it in the best possible spirit."

Good to see a second half comeback of sorts; I thought we were in control the whole game really...Pirlo is The Man...I used to criticize him circa 2005 (he really was terrible then), but since the World Cup he's been steadily improving and has become even better than he ever was...
SuperPippo leaves me speechless...a legend of the sport...quite possibly the least talented at that...

Like I said before, winning the trophy did not really matter but the manner in which we played has to be applauded (Poulsen the thug and Alves the git excluded) and it was a worthy tribute to the memory of Puerta..

Milan unleash Ronaldo on Europe

Milan have presented their official Champions League squad list to UEFA with few changes from last term, except that Ronaldo can now play.

The Brazilian joined the Rossoneri in January, but was unable to take part in their trophy-winning campaign because he had already featured in the competition for Real Madrid in 2006-07.

Now Il Fenomeno has the opportunity to shine for Milan in Europe as well, although he was in the stands during last night’s European Super Cup 3-1 win over Sevilla due to a fitness problem.

Summer signing Emerson is also in the list handed to UEFA, but Alexandre Pato is absent as he is not legally allowed to play in an official competition for the club until January 2008.

The teenager could be added to the Champions League squad after the January transfer window, when sides are allowed three changes.
