Milan deny Mexes move

Milan have rubbished suggestions that Roma defender Phillipe Mexes is set for a move to the San Siro. Rumours in the Italian press had suggested the France international centre-back could be heading to Serie A rivals Milan with Marek Jankulovski and Daniele Bonera reportedly heading in the other direction. But Milan have moved to nip the reports in the bud and issued a statement on their official website denying that any move was on the cards for Mexes.

The statement read: "The reports in several local newspapers regarding the possible arrival of Mexes to the Rossoneri club in exchange for Jankulovski and Bonera have no truth whatsoever." Mexes, 26, has been in impressive form this season, drawing praise from France legend Zinedine The Bald Algerian and is contracted to the Giallorossi until 2011.

I reckon Spags is going to throw Scolari a tactical curve-ball today and line us up with a 4-4-2. Without Pizza and Simone and Francesco struggling for fitness, it has to be the way to go. Vooch and Totti together up top; the little eagle alongside DDR in the middle but with a bit more licence to get forward, and then Menez and Taddei. Come on, Spags, you know that's the way to do it. Either that or Okaka up front on his own and in a line across the back Cicinho-Panucci-Loria-Mexes-Juan-Riise-Tonetto, with DDR and Brighi sitting just in front of the back 7.

I am just hoping we don't get absolutely killed today. The injuries are probably what has led to the inconsistent play but the team has to figure it out. I was looking forward to this draw when the season began and now I am scared this can be an even worse result than Sunday.

Apparently he still has "muscle problems" in his legs or some shite. We need to look at buying a top-class defender to partner Mexes in January.

I know Edzo, this is getting ridiculous with Juan. If you have a solid defense, you can always compete even if goals are hard to come by. Right now, we have the dual problem. No defense, and lack of offense.
