I'll reserve judgment on this team till I see a full starting 11 (can't believe I'm saying that when we're nearing the end of October). When have all of Juan, Mexes, Tonetto, a fit Perrotta, Totti, and Pizzaro all on the field at the same time, then I think we can really judge if if this team is going to make an impact or not. And I have to agree with maro. Even though we lost by 4 yesterday, I saw improvement in the team. The score was very harsh, and two of those goals came because of our 4th string defender. We didn't score, but I saw more scoring opportunities than in any other game this season.

Oh can we call Juan a bust now? He's good when he plays, but the guy rarely plays. We gave him a pass last season because of him not getting a rest over the summer, but whats the excuse now? Also, maro, I would take Chivu over Juan too. I think some people hate him too much to admit how good he was.

Milan And Roma Agree Mexes Deal - Reports

Milan have agreed a deal with Roma for Philippe Mexes and he will arrive in January, according to Tuttosport.

The Rossoneri have been after the stopper for a while but the Giallorossi have been playing hard ball as they have resisted every attempt from the Milanese giants.

However, Roma appear to have eased off and a deal to sell Mexes to the San Siro-based club seems on the cards.

Tuttosport claims the Rossoneri will offer €10m and Marek Jankulovski for the French defender and he could arrive as early as January if I Lupi accept the deal.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is in Rome trying to tie up a deal in order to land his man ahead of the others. Mexes will be given a four year deal and he will earn between €2.5m - €4m per season, therefore the whole transfer will rise to €20m.

The capital-based club are likely to give-in to Il Diavolo's temptations as they look to recover some of the money they spent in the summer.

what a great experience to see an electric olimpico again on sunday. i had shivers up my spine while singing along to "roma, roma, roma" and yelling out the starting line-up with the rest of the crowd. too bad my excitement lasted only until the 4th minute of the first half. anyway, i watched the replay of the game last night on t.v. and i have to say that despite the clinical finishing from inter (and great performance by julio cesar), the scoreline by no means reflected our performance. my judgement of the team was a bit clouded while watching the game live because of my frustration of how things were unfolding on the scoreboard. i thought roma played a very good first half and had we connected on any of those late first half chances, i'm sure the game would have taken a different direction. make no mistake, though, inter were brilliant in countering us so fast, particularly with ibrahimovic's goals - it was amazing how quickly they could convert a misplaced pass or loss of possesion in their zone and with three passes found themselves in our 18-yard box. my biggest criticism of the team in the early part of the game was that our midfield seemed very static and were beat to virtually every loose ball. i was also disappointed with vuci's play in that respect. i couldnt remember seeing one occassion where the ball was being launched to his wing and him coming to meet the ball. it seemed like maicon had an extra step on him on every pass or vuci didnt even bother to try to compete for any 50/50 challenges. his energy may have been spent because of his mid-week game with montenegro. one bright spot for me was the way cicinho played. that was one of his best performances (outside of keeping ibrahimovic onside on the first goal) in a giallorosso shirt. had he been 5'-6" instead of 4'-2", he may have been able to head that ball in on that great play he had in the first half.

it's going to be interesting to see how the come out for tomorrow's game. i'm extremely nervous about this one as i'm sure many of you are. chelsea are ripping it up in league play at the moment. let's hope we can build on SOME of the positives from the inter game.

I really don't think that anyone here is celebrating their deaths, red, but taking the number of deaths as a given, it could have been worse, that is they could have been doctors, Romanisti, or other valuable parts of society. Edge, surely the possiblity of death worth celebrating exists, no?
