We may actually need Zambro on the left to counter Maicon; I can see him running circles around the Jank. At least Zambro might be able to counter that threat right there. It leaves us with Bonera or Antonini for the right; Antonini is decent but I'm not really convinced of his ability to get forward. Bonera really did a good job there towards the end of last season and should start IMO. That of course leaves us with no option but to start Kaladze in the centre; I don't mind it...its the best we can do I guess...anything but Favalli somehow sneaking his way in there.

This piece of shit has no place in the team, none. The fact that BF somehow got him just ruined any good stuff he might have done in the summer prior to that. I can live with Bonera in CB even though theoretically Kaladze is the better option, but he's been so shitty we are guaranteed to see a farce there one way or the other

i hope that carlo goes with the formation the MAN posted up, with seedorf in pirlo's role. it will be unbelievable to see that, and i want to see ronaldinho start over shevchenko. its time for him to play on the big stage, and this is the game for him to show everybody that hes back.

gazzetta is predicting the same lineup as the MAN's, which i think is wonderful.

that itself should be a psychological boost to the team, it shows the intent to take the game by the throat. seedorf is going to need another monster of a game, and im sure he is capable of it.

and its time for ronaldinho to shine on the big stage. he couldnt have asked for a better event to mark his 'comeback'. the guy still has it in him, i want to see him shit brilliance and piss excellence. the time has come for him to make his mark for the rossoneri.

That would be awesome, Gazzetta's lineups usually get more accurate as we near matchday, so I pray that we're not in for a nasty surprise tomorrow

A draw would not be extremely bad as nothing gets decided in September, but it suits Inter far more than us...a loss would be quite damaging though, as it would leave Inter clear at the top at this early stage and would effectively rule us out of contention unless something spectacular happens....I think Mourinho would not want to lose his first big game in Italy, his first Derby, so he will happily settle in for a draw...not saying they will be defensive but will definitely be conservative...we really need to cut the supply for Ibra as I dont think we can handle him if he's into the game, our best shot is to block his supply and that means our midfield needs to be near perfect....they will have a similar problem with Kaka, but Dinho's presence might be the perfect thing we need, he will take players off Kaka, unless they want to mark Kaka...not forgetting Pato...somebody's gotta be open at some point

Janku has recovered, Nesta and Pirlo's situations are evolving well, Borriello's muscular problem is not bad: here is the weekly account of Massimo Manara who also talked about Inzaghi and Senderos.

MILANELLO - Fixed appointment with Massimo Manara: also this week Milan's Social Doctor talked about the individual players' situations. Here's how the recovery of the injured player is going, case by case.

MAREK JANKULOVSKI
'Yesterday the player resumed training with the group. He has recovered and is available again.'

SANDRO NESTA
'Sandro is finishing the last work in the physiotherapy department. From Monday he will get back to the preparations and will presumably come back after the October international break. He is constantly improving. We'll see in the next few days when he will start working at a higher level.'

PIPPO INZAGHI
'Filippo will undergo a check on Monday morning. We will see how it turns out and if it will comfort us. He should be able to return on Tuesday.'

MARCO BORRIELLO
'Marco had a muscular problem to his left thigh. He was subjected to an ecographic test this morning. It's a slight problem which will keep him out for about ten days. Probably we can talk about it again after the break.'

ANDREA PIRLO
'Also Andrea had an ecography this morning which evidenced his progress. We will do another on 9 or 10 October. But he has improved notably.'
