Apparently,Roma got the USA U21 star Szetela for free. He should be coming in january.

La Roma avrebbe raggiunto l'accordo con Danny Szetela, centrocampista dei Columbus Crew e stella della Nazionale Under 21 degli Stati Uniti.

Szetela si è messo in luce negli ultimi Mondiali Under 20, realizzando tre reti per la selezione a stelle e strisce ed è considerato una delle maggiori promesse del calcio nordamericano.

Szetela, di passaporto polacco, dovrebbe arrivare in Italia a gennaio 2007 a parametro zero, quando gli scadrà l'attuale contratto professionistico.

Per assicurarselo la Roma ha vinto la concorrenza di altri club europei, come Galatasaray, Everton, Hertha Berlino, Sion e Glasgow Rangers e, italiani, come Siena, Parma e soprattutto Lazio.

Al suo arrivo, che come detto avverrà probabilmente a gennaio, Szetela potrebbe essere girato in prestito ad un club di Serie B e in questo senso si è fatto il nome del Brescia.

Where two clubs from the same association have qualified, they are paired to split their matches between Tuesday and Wednesday. In the case of associations with three representatives, only two sides have been paired in terms of their fixtures; in the case of associations with four representatives, two pairings are made. Sevilla and AEK have been paired with two different teams to provide for the eventuality of either side winning. For seeding purposes, the team with the higher coefficient (i.e. Sevilla FC) take precedence. In order to safeguard the country protection, the pairing will not be drawn against Spanish or Greek teams. they're both in pot 2 because uefa takes the higher of the two teams' seeds and puts them both there. so, theoretically, if athens beats sevilla, whoever gets them as the pot 2 team will have an easier group. however, athens is never going to beat sevilla, so it's not something we should worry about. there are some tough teams in pots three and four, though. t'would be interesting if roma were drawn in the same group as, say, a barca or a chelsea.
