Milan's defeat and more importantly their today's below par performance against Genoa especially in the first half have re-opened many topics. First of all, Ancelotti is the one to be questioned here about the summer transfers and whether he wanted to sign the likes of Ronaldinho and Shevchenko or not, when Milan badly have been in need of strengthening their aged backline. Even though, the only centre defender they signed was a clumsy defender who was warming the bench in the Emirates stadium.

It's pretty clear that Berlusconi was one who requested the signing of Ronaldinho just to boost his election campaign. Berlusconi is known for buying the players whom he personally likes. Jean-Pierre Papin during Capello's era was an example, but Capello's personality was stronger, and that's what makes the difference in a club like Milan. Ancelotti, on the other hand, has found himself in a critical situation, he hasn't just had a player he didn't request, but he's forced to field him as well. Thus he opted to fully change his formation and lineup, and a fit decisive player like Seedorf has temporarily lost his place in the regular eleven to an unfit star. Against Genoa, Ancelotti figured out his personal mistake and he subbed off Ronaldinho and Sheva. He tried to save the sunken ship, but he's failed.

Quite honestly, the main problem doesn't lie in Ronaldinho, and if he's the only problem, then replacing him with Seedorf would have simply solved Milan's sterility upfront. It's indeed about the team as a group and the reason behind Milan losing its spirit and coherence. Talking about Milan's defence has already become an old issue, and me doesn't blame Maldini on the two goals Milan conceded, despite him being responsible for both. He was hardly trying, but the management hasn't helped the situation. Milan's sufferings don't mean that Genoa were lucky, because they played a complete football game. Genoa introduced the football which I'd like Juventus to play someday. Their defence was insurmountable and their counter-attacks were lethal. In other words, they're realistic. Definitely the man of the match was Andrea Gasbarroni, a player who is vastly underrated and ignored by the Italian media for years. I said it before and I'm saying it now, Juventus were at fault for selling a talent like Gasbarroni. Another star here is Diego milito. I was desperate for Juventus to snap him up in the last two summers, but it didn't happen. Although I'm glad that he's back to the Calcio. Surely he deserves the chanting of the fans at Stadio Ferraris..."Vamos Milito".

The problem is not singing Dinho, this is a signing, Im sure, that Carlo wanted, and in all honesty Dinho has looked, over the 2 games, far better than 90% of the rest. On the other hand, signing the shit from chelski is not something that Im convinced was not wanted by everybody in the team, I havent digested this dumb move yet and to see him start is an insult to the footballing intelligence of all the Milan fans, he does nothing, in fact, he's more like a player for the opposition, with Boriello and Pato in the second half, at least we had the feeling that we had some-fucking-body upfront.

Other than that the whole team was shit, Pirlo needs to wake the fuck up, even Seedorf is actually more lively than him, otherwise, bench him and play 4-2-3-1 from the start

As for the defence, saying its shambolic is an understatement. I would like to understand whats the great fucking secret that somehow only Carlo knows to make him start Favalli and Bonera. Why not try Senderos FFS, Im not saying he's the solution, but we can only find out what he's made of by playing him

my bad, i remember milan-inter being the 4th week, but im assuming there is a midweek match somewhere in there so it would be the 5th match of the season.

Maybe we needed to strengthen the defense but that was in no way the cause of last nights defeat. I could only catch the first half and it was the most pathetic Milan performance I've seen in a while. While the Bologna performance gave us hope, this surely raised questions about Ancelotti's tactics (ha ha) and the players' motivation.

What kind of game plan was isolating the front three and expect them to create something out of nothing? It didn't help that our trio were unfit, underachieving and useless. I can understand why we brought the useless one back but this is a gamble which looks to have failed miserably. If he starts another game, somebody deserves to be shot. Poor Ronaldinho; his current game depends on the players around him and it certainly didn't help that there weren't any...around him. Kaka was class, well class enough to be our only viable attacking option in spite of being devoid of match fitness.

Pirlo has gone back to his pre WC2006 period when one questioned which team he was really playing for. Genoa couldn't have asked for a more accurate passer of the ball. Ambrosini is getting on my nerves now; his constant need to prove that he is worthy of a starting spot leads him to do things beyond his capability. Somebody needs to tell the idiot to stick to the fucking gameplan; actually Ancelotti should but it doesn't seem like anyone listens to him anymore.

Maldini was definitely at fault for the first goal but I caught the replay of the penalty episode and fucking Milito dived. Yeah, he did some fancy footwork and he got the ball away but the bitch had already decided to go down. Admittedly the ref couldn't have seen it and its not like we didn't deserve to lose.

This has been quite demoralizing and our season obviously hinges on the upcoming week. Bah, here we were all quietly confident that we would be able to mount a serious title challenge but now it looks like we'll be in the dogfight for CL places again. Yes, its been just two games but we have nothing to show for it; until the team shows some sort of enterprise its better that we keep our hopes minimal.
