Does anyone else think we should perhaps ban grasso and Shield and the Avvocato - not one of those crazy life-time bans you get over at the House of Cocc; just 3 or 4 years, maybe. And probably we should dibdib too. Pricks. On Monday I shall be celebrating our first wedding anniversary by going to Leicester for a conference. Leicester, for feck's sake. If I have any luck with a pair of Japanese twins while I'm there I'll let you know.

That all sounds good to me Giovanni. Yes I hope we can get a reservation in that place too because having looked at their menu I fear I might break in and hold the chef hostage just to sample their food if we don't. Gio, Bulmers may be my preferred drink most of the time but there is a time and a place for everything. For example, I would not have a special vintage bottle of red or a bottle of champagne while drinking in my friends house before heading out to the pub on a regular Friday night, and similarly if I was out for a nice meal in a classy establishment with friends I may indulge to have something more grandiose than Bulmers. Of course I mean I'll be having Guinness (joking). I'm certainly no expert but I do enjoy wine when the time is right.

Yes, so lets make the reservation and hopefully yourself and your wife can make it. Myself and the girlfriend will definitely be there. Stefano, you haven't as many responsibilities as the G'ster so I'm definitely counting on you being there, and I'll buy you a proper Bulmers or 12 afterward, if we find a place. Bring one of yours birds too, but just the one now. Afterward we can get take-out cans and go to Central Park (what, you mean you don't do that?).

Jamil, make arrangments and meet us there. Maro, you won't be back in college then so book a flight. Who else is close to NY?

Okay, let's finalize these plans. When do we want to have dinner? I'm looking at the Amtrak schedule and I can be on a 3:15 train that gets to Penn Station at 6:45. If necessary, I can get on an earlier train that gets me into the city at 4:45. Ths second train will give me time to drop off my bag wherever I'm staying, but I may be a bit rushed heading out of the office. Giova, what time do you think you will arrive in the city? As you have the most complicated schedule, let us know what will work best for you. Any other Romanisti who would like to join us? If not let's make the reservation for 6 of us. There is a girl in New York who I haven't seen in quite some time who I would like to join us. I will have to see if she is available.
