Well, just watching Sky Sports News, and they said on West Hams website it is said they are looking at the possibiltiy of taking Adriano on loan, but the latest is that the player has turned down a move to Upton Park, which is good. Glad to see he has some sense. Lazio? Hmm, dunno about that, surely will be a loan?

Da un bomber argentino ad uno brasiliano? Il legame tra il West Ham e il Sudamerica inizia a farsi interessante. Dopo la chiamata della coppia Tevez-Mascherano che ha fruttato la salvezza nello scorso campionato, sembra che la squadra londinese stia trattando con l'Inter per ottenere il prestito di Adriano.

"Le cifre circolate sui media non rispondono alla realtà - ha detto agli organi di stampa inglese un esponente della società - l'eventuale affare è alle fasi iniziali e non si è ancora parlato di denaro. I club stanno esaminando la possibilità di un prestito".

Da ieri il giovane centrocampista portoghese Pelè è ufficialmente un giocatore dell'Inter. Già stasera potrebbe debuttare con la sua nuova maglia contro il Barcellona nel Trofeo Gamper.

Lui si presenta così: "Da piccolo segnavo tanti gol e per questo mi chiamavano Pelè. Sono un buon ricuperatore di palloni, ma so anche far gioco e ho un buon tiro. Mancini mi ha detto di lavorare e stare tranquillo".

Recoba in Toro talks

Reports from Italy suggest that Inter striker Alvaro Recoba is headed for Torino as Adriano is set to stay at the San Siro.

Recoba’s future is closely linked to Adriano’s as the two have slid down the Nerazzurri pecking order in recent times and are both reportedly unwilling to take the role of sixth choice striker.

While it had seemed likely that Adriano would quit the San Siro and El Chino would stay put to fight for a place, the situation has changed with the Brazilian’s insistence that he will not accept a loan deal.

L’Imperatore has allegedly refused temporary switches to Lazio, Parma and a host of Premiershit sides and now it seems that Recoba could be the man to make way.

Sources suggest that the Uruguayan has agreed a season loan with Torino and that negotiations between Granata President Urbano Cairo and his Inter counterpart Massimo Moratti are at an advanced stage.

It is believed that the Torinesi will part with around £300,000 as a fee for the move, but that the Italian champions will continue to pay Recoba’s wage of around £1m and extend his contract until 2009.

Torino are short on attacking options as they must wait three months to field summer signing David Di Michele, who is serving a ban for gambling, and boss Walter Novellino has welcomed the idea of Recoba’s arrival.
