Suazo Agrees To Benfica Move

Inter striker David Suazo has allegedly accepted a loan move to Benfica after turning down both Sampdoria and Palermo.

It seems that David Suazo has decided to agree to a move to Benfica. The Inter striker did not fancy a move to either Sampdoria or Palermo, but the Portuguese side are considered prestigious enough by the Honduras striker, who is willing to move away from Serie A if it means playing for a better club.

The deal will most likely be temporary, a loan deal with the right to a purchase, which has become one of the most common transfer formulas in football nowadays.

Sampdoria and Palermo will be disappointed with this news, as they both wanted to sign a major striker to reduce the gap with the big teams.

Inter will not be unhappy about Suazo's departure, however, as it now paves the way for them to sign Ricardo Quaresma from Porto and complete the forward line.

David Suazo was signed only last summer by Inter from Cagliari for around 10 million euros, but he has failed to shine with the Nerazzurri, scoring just 8 goals last season. However, it must be said he did not get much playing time either.

At least he's not going to Roma where he'll probably end up biting us in the ass. So the rumors are going to increase in the last 2 days of the transfer window but I'm not going to mention the Q word until it's closed, unless we officially buy him before the last hour of the window. Regardless, we've got a game tomorrow night so that should give us something to keep our minds off of "it".

Official: Suazo Signs For Benfica

Inter forward David Suazo has completed his move to Benfica, the Portuguese club have announced.

The Honduran had seemed certain to join Roma earlier this week, and indeed it was even reported by some sections of the press that the striker would sign for them on Wednesday.

However, the Giallorossi opted for Monaco’s Jeremy Menez instead, and now Benfica have announced that Suazo has officially signed for them.

The 28-year-old arrives on loan, but it is not yet clear whether or not there is an option to make this move permanent next summer.

Apparently my cousin was drunk(nothing new). Mou said that right now, Quaresma is a Porto player & Pele an Inter player, but surely he wont be calling Pele for the match against Samp, because he might have to fly to Portugal at any moment. In other words, the deal is not yet settled, but more or less, we're there.
