maro, don't misunderstand, I like our 4-2-3-1 because when it works it's entertaining and most importantly, effective...both with a capital E! You don't need me to tell you if we only had a squad with strength in depth and a more consistent scoring ratio then lo scudetto would be ours for the taking...

We all know our problems are most noticeable once we face the very best in the later stages of the CL because scoring chances become fewer and farther between and opportunities must be made to count...and we more than ever then need the correct players available to make our unique system work because it doesn't on a "make do and mend" basis.

On that point I noticed a statement by our club on Rai text telling us today that our mercato is now closed! So we don't get one of those late loans we were aiming for...oh and it gets better, Brighi will be staying with us!

Carlo, I think Brighi is an integral part of the squad. While not a starter, he's a solid player, unselfish and can fill a role. It's players like that who provide us with depth that we really lack. It's a long long loooooonnnnng season.

This says Aquilani and Perrotta were not training yesterday (today?). Aquilani has a contusion on the instep and Perrotta has a problem with his achilles tendon.

Don't know why they still have Aquilani and Perrotta still listed in the probable formation. I think Perrotta's injury is more serious and so may not make it, and it looks like Menez won't be available, so we could be struggling on the wings. Maybe Cicinho will play.

3 pm here in Malaysia....and I'm getting very nervous. It's not even the Champions League final but hell... I can't stop thinking about this game today.
I haven't seen the boys playing for too long and will feel more relaxed when hearing Roma Roma Roma from the Olimpico in a few hours.
The game is shown delayed here in Malaysia...5am monday morning. They are showing Milan live.
