Arsenal's gung ho style does not allow for defenders to shine, I think this should be clear.... also I think Senderos is just not quick enough, which is a less of a factor in Serie A than EPL....in CL though, and I know the Liverfucks shit is true, he's been pretty good with Arsenal in general, being a main player in their run to 06 final with so many clean-sheets, also he did well vs Milan last year....he's very tall and big so he can help in the air, and Milan has a weakness there

I think there's a decent it will work out, if it doesnt then we can call off the deal next summer

Senderos deal should make Milan champions, says Galliani

MILAN, Aug 26 (Reuters) - The arrival of Arsenal centre back Philippe Senderos has given AC Milan a championship-winning squad, chief executive Adriano Galliani has said.

The 23-year-old Swiss international was wrapping up a season-long loan deal on Tuesday after being allowed to leave the English Premiershit club following their signing of Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre last week.

Senderos, at Arsenal since 2003, will miss Milan’s Serie A opener at home to Bologna on Sunday but should be available to coach Carlo Ancelotti soon after.

True...but we're also counting on the pace of the Serie A itself being more suited to his game. I think he will actually be pretty decent with Maldini or Nesta next to him. He does have a few shockers but I really thought he was getting better over the last season with Arsenal and did pretty well at the Euros.

In a surprise swoop Serie B side Parma have signed Milan starlet Alberto Paloschi in a co-ownership deal.

The 18-year-old Paloschi is rated as one of Italy’s most promising young strikers, and he burst onto the Italian scene last season, scoring two goals in Serie A, and impressing in the Coppa Italia.

Last month Paloschi had been on the verge of moving to Torino on a season-long loan deal. The transfer was all set to be completed until a serious injury in training to Marco Borriello plunged Milan into something of a forward crisis.

With Pippo Inzaghi and Kaka also sidelined at the time, and Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato at the Olympics, Paloschi was only the fit striker available, and thus his transfer to Torino was scrapped.

He has taken part in much of Milan’s pre-season, even scoring in the Birra Moretti Trophy against Napoli last week, but now the Rossoneri have agreed to sell half of his contract to Parma.

It is a somewhat surprising move, as Paloschi had only been expected to move away on loan. Parma were last season relegated from Serie A, and they have lost two young talents in the form of Daniele Dessena and Luca Cigarini, who joined Sampdoria and Atalanta respectively.

Nevertheless, the Giallblu will be hoping that Paloschi, and veteran strike partner Cristiano Lucarelli will score the goals to take them immediately back up to the top-flight.

I assumed any deal would be a straight loan so they wouldn't have to pay to get him back.

Brocchi agrees Lazio switch

Lazio have agreed a deal for Cristian Brocchi, confirmed his agent, but French reports of Massimo Oddo’s move to Lyon may have been exaggerated.

Having spent the summer bringing in a series of new faces such as Ronaldinho, Andriy Shevchenko and Philippe Senderos, Milan are now cutting down their squad.

Alberto Paloschi has joined Parma in a co-ownership deal and midfielder Brocchi is now set for the Olimpico.

I think letting oddo go would be a big mistake, remember he was a key figure in us winning the CL last time after he came in January. Plus who else are we going to play at RB, Bonera, Senderos, none of them attack and go up the line like oddo

Bonera and Antonini should be adequate as backup; I always thought Bonera was a better RB than CB as he proved towards the end of last season. If Brocchi does leave, this transfer campaign will have been an A for me.

Today's declarations from Philippe Senderos. For the strong defender joining Milan is a dream come true. Now there is, most of all, a lot of desire to work.

MILANELLO - With already a good knowledge of the Italian language, Philippe Senderos today gave his first few declarations as a new Milan player before the afternoon training:

"I am very happy to be able to play for a team like Milan, for me it's like a dream come true, everything went very quickly, in a week. Here everything is incredible, the people are very simple and I can say they have made me feel right at home."

Philippe Senderos then talked about all his personal successes but for him the dream isn't over:

"In the past I have achieved some satisfactions, like winning the European Championship with the Under 17 team and then of course at 18 my passage to a great team like Arsenal. in London I learned a lot, it was a life school and Wenger helped me, but today I can certainly say I have reached a superior level after joining this club. I want to give one hundred percent and improve myself every day. This team wants to return to the Champions League and I will do my best to help. When you will see me on the pitch? We'll see how my condition improves, I still have to undergo some tests and then after the first league match there will be two weeks to work, we'll see."

Bayern secure Oddo loan

Bayern Munich have sensationally swooped to secure a loan deal for Milan defender Massimo Oddo.
