Balotelli just took out Cassetti from behind....... then on another possession, we lose it and Okaka pushes Balotelli down....... after that, Cassetti colides with Balotelli. almost sums up the first half of added time. oh and Doni tips behind a shot, good stuff.

Okaka was looking real good dribbling past Stankovic and Zanetti........ on the other end, Balotelli blasts a freekick and Doni makes a good save by pushing it up and over the bar with his entire body

Fairly impressed with Okaka too. Haven't seen him play for Roma in a long time. The last time I can remember is when he scored against Siena early on in the 06/07 season. Looks like he's come on a bit since then, another promising player out of our academy.

Inter are dominating the extra time period I feel and we need to wake up. We only really come alive when we go a goal down. Full compliments to Doni whose having a stormer out there.

Super performance tonight - so, so, so much more than I expected. Inter should have won this at a canter, but the boys have shown superb ticker and some real quality. Baptista's shown plenty; Okaka's been nice to see too and all in all who really cares about the penalties. I've seen much much more than I expected to see this evening. Add some quality in a wide position and this side has a genuine shot at the Scudetto. Again.

in the end, we couldnt take this one to Franco. no doubt we put in a good performance given our dismal off-season. i hope we continue to play with this intensity for the Scudetto

Yes Pocari, I thought the boys were gonna take this one home for Franco, and looked all set with Totti having the chance to win it, but it wasn't to be. Ah well, thats football. A scudetto victory dedicated to his memory will have to do.

An all round good performance, all things considered. Playing Vucinic, Perrotta, Baptista and Okaka as wingers out there was never going to be easy, but we still played well. A pity we couldn't nick it on peno's but thats life.

The first 30 minutes of the match made me feel that Inter would be in a picnic in the second half, however Roma surprised me with their amazing performance and the great comebacks, but what a melodrama that match was! Carlo, I think I've an idea about what you're thinking about right now and I guess your next decision is ready. From now onwards you'll refrain from chatting with me before Roma's games especially when I root for the Italian capital's team, I don't blame you on anything though.

Still, some positives to be had...

Okaka as I said a couple of weeks ago needs to be kept and given playing time by us if only in la Coppa Italia and against the lesser Serie A sides...not loaned out and then possibly allowed to slip from between our fingers. It's nice to see a couple of you, Pocari & giallo_rossi as pleased as I am about his progress. Perhaps he can be our Balotelli at least in terms of talent if not questionable temperament!

...and Shield, I don't doubt our late Presidente, as Conti states in your post, was looking down on our boys with pride earlier tonight!

Oh, and on the match as whole, I have to say that I really liked what I saw. We were missing a couple of key players, we had no wingers, and we still managed to take the game to Inter. Add a real winger in the coming week and, like maro said, this team should challenge for the Scudetto again this year.
