Zanetti is going to play, have a few good games, then get hurt, IF he starts. I believe someone mentioned before that Poulsen is surely making too much to be a bench player. So is Tiago but I don't think Tiago was even Ranieri's call. I think we're going to be seeing much of Sissoko-Poulsen in the CL while Zanetti will cover some Serie A games. Obviously there is a place in my heart for Zanetti, seeing as he stuck with us in our Serie B adventure.


Giovinco's new contract is imminent. Granted it is based on his potential but there's no reason as to not offer him a contract.

It is sensible to get Giovinco tied to a long contract before he shows the world what he's capable of.

I agree the Poulsen and Sissoko will probaby be first choice, but I think Zanetti will play in the majority of our Serie A matches.

Also some names have been linked with us lately after the injury of Chiellini, like Terlizzi, Stendardo and Dainelli, but personally I think our market is closed.

Juventus transfer chief Alessio Secco is furious with Tiago after the midfielder refused a chance to move to Everton on loan.

The former Chelsea man has never managed to make an impact at Juve and was recently brandished a ‘flop’ by coach Claudio Ranieri.

Juve have been trying desperately to get rid of the unwanted player and a move to the Toffees was on the horizon. However, the Portuguese rejected the possibility of a return to England, leaving the Old Lady furious.

Juventus To Make Ballack Offer

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are hoping to sign Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack on a free transfer next summer, and are ready to offer him €4.5m per season.

Ballack joined Chelsea from Bayern Munich in 2006, but had an absolutely miserable first season in West London. The German international had been heavily linked with a move to Juventus in the January transfer window, but after returning from injury at around Christmas time, he roared into form, and was a colossus for the remainder of the campaign.

Ballack’s contract at Stamford Bridge runs out in 2009, and Tuttosport claims that Juventus have reignited their interest to sign him on a free transfer, and are ready to offer €4.5m per season in wages.

Chelsea are well stocked in the centre of midfield with the likes of John Obi Mikel, Michael Essien, Frank Lampard, and recent signing Deco all jostling for places.

With Ballack set to turn 33 in 2009, they are unlikely to stand in Ballack’s way should he choose to leave, and indeed there has been no talk about a new contract yet.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man will be able to negotiate with Juve from January 1, but it remains to be seen whether supporters would approve of signing a player now in the twilight of his career.
