Marbury to Milan?

Marbury's international plans have not wavered one bit. He still wants to play ball in Italy after his Knick contract expires in '09.

"People just didn't understand and didn't know (last summer)," said Marbury. "When I made comments about playing overseas people took it out of perspective, thought I was talking about leaving while still playing for the Knicks. It was turned into something negative about going to Italy. Now it seems it's OK."

"Why wouldn't you want to play basketball, still make money and live in a place that's beautiful," Marbury added. "Milan is definitely where I want to play basketball at. That's where I fell in love with Italy."

With nine NBA players already signing with European or Israeli clubs since July 1's free agency, that Marbury "Italia" head tattoo might just become a reality.

Too bad he doesn't play D...

Did I mention that thanks to this move, Milan are practically out from the race on Ivanovic? You cant get any other non-Eu player this year..

I think their countries might not be part of the EU...?? that's my best guess..
as a footballing nation they may be, but as a nations by themselves they might not be.
