milan are on the verge of getting Ivanovic. Another player we're going to miss out on. We've been linked with that kid for god knows how long and now milan are going to steal him away. They're getting the same deal we wanted, a loan move with an option to buy. Why is it so complicated for this fucking management to sign someone?

Lucho Gonzalez would be a welcome addition imo... But i would rather just stick with the midfielders we have. We do need a defender or two though. One of them being De Silvestri...

De Silvestri would be an excellent choice. Imagine De Silvestri, De Ceglie and Chiellini... don't forget Criscito and we have a very good young group. With Mellberg, Legrottaglie, Grygera and Molinaro, we would have a solid defense, IMO.

Juve & Newcastle Agree Tiago Deal

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Portuguese midfielder Tiago Mendes is on the verge of signing for Newcastle United after the Premiershit club came to an agreement with Juventus.

Tiago only joined the Bianconeri from Lyon last year, however he has flopped dreadfully in Turin, and has failed miserably to live up to his €13m transfer fee.

Juve have been attempting to offload him since January of this year, with Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid both unsuccessfully tabling offers.

Now it seems as if the Italian giants have finally found a buyer who satisfies both themselves and Tiago, and this buyer is Newcastle United.

The Magpies have had a disappointing summer transfer campaign with few, if any, notable signings, and supporters have been getting increasingly frustrated with the club’s owner Mike Ashley, and transfer chief Dennis Wise.

The Gazzetta claims that Newcastle have now come to an agreement with Juventus that will see Tiago move to St James Park on a one-year loan deal, with the Premiershit club then having the option to make the move permanent next summer for a fee of €10m.

Juventus tonight take on Artmedia in the Champions League third qualifying round, and Tiago is unlikely to feature in order to avoid him being cup-tied from Europe.

With Newcastle not in continental competition this year, this will probably prove irrelevant, but Juve still wish to safeguard themselves should this transfer fall through.

Juventus Return For Banega And Ledesma

Juventus are considering making a return to the transfer market and are ready to deal for Ever Banega and Christian Ledesma, according to Sportmediaset.

The Bianconeri have been hit with a number of injuries during pre-season. The latest blow came when Cristiano Zanetti and Marco Marchionni were both ruled out for a month on Monday.

The Old Lady is now desperate for cover and is looking to make a return to the transfer market as a result.

Sportmediaset claims that Juve chief executive Jean Claude Blanc and transfer guru Alessio Secco are following Valencia’s Banega and Lazio’s Ledesma.

Banega hasn’t featured much since signing for Los Che last year and an exit from the Mestalla seems on the cards. Juve were previously front-runners to sign him before losing out to the Liga giants.

Ledesma is the more realistic target, as he is on the verge of leaving the Biancocelesti. The midfielder is looking for a quick exit after falling out with the club over a pay rise issue.

The Argentine has plenty of skill and pace and he would fit in well in Claudio Ranieri’s side.

Serie A is just weeks away from the big kick-off and the Turin-based side need some cover in the middle if they are to challenge for trophies this term.

Juve Considering Necid Move

Juventus may be interested in acquiring the signature of 19 year old Czech striker Tomáš Necid from Slavia Prague, according to reports.

Representatives from Juventus were in the stands watching Fiorentina's Champions League qualifier against Slavia Prague on Tuesday, with reports in Italy suggesting that the Bianconeri were keeping an eye on the progress of the young Czech striker.

Pavel Nedved's young compatriot made his appearance in the 16th minute of the second half under the watchful eyes of the Juve observers. The Czech Republic U-21 international has a tall athletic physique - standing 1.90m tall and weighing 81 kg - and demonstrated his ability in the air and his talent for holding up the ball. A strong and powerful player, his performance seemed to impress the observers from Turin.

Necid was top scorer at the 2008 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship for the Czech Republic, but Juventus realise that they are not his only suitors. This may push the Old Lady to make an offer for the youngster, adopting an Arsene Wenger type approach to the situation before he is snapped up by another club.

Juve Set To Make Ledesma Offer

According To Datasport, Juventus could be set to table an offer for Lazio midfielder Cristian Ledesma.

The Bianconeri are reasonably well stacked in the centre of midfield, and hadn’t been expected to further strengthen this department before the end of the transfer window.

However, a couple of recent injuries to Claudio Marchisio and Cristiano Zanetti, as well as the imminent sale of Tiago Mendes, probably to Everton, has led them to reconsider.

Datasport claims that a transfer offer for Lazio schemer Ledesma could be in the pipeline over the coming days. The Argentine’s future at the Stadio Olimpico is in huge doubt following a contract dispute, and he is almost certain to leave either this summer or next.

Ledesma has been attempting to negotiate a new contract for several months, but has grown increasingly angry at not receiving a good pay rise. Ledemsa has recently announced that it is inevitable he will leave Lazio, possibly by executing FIFA’s Article 17 next summer, which would mean he could leave for a minimal fee.

Thus, it is looking more than likely that the Romans will cash in on him this summer, and Juventus are believed to be at the front of the queue, even if they may face competition from Inter Milan.

Other possible midfield alternatives for Juve are Roma’s Alberto Aquilani and Inter’s Dejan Stankovic, but both of these are unlikely at this stage for differing reasons.

Well... he is an above average player that could offer us something good, but I just don't think we need another CM in the roster. I would wait. It would only make sense at this point to spend money on a young, star-in-the-future, type player like Banega, Montolivo, Cigarini, or Veloso.
