I'm not excited by Quagliarella per se and I also think he is over rated! I just see him as a more likely Roma target.

The Udinese player(s) past and present I wanted were Iaquinta and Di Natale! Now that would have made a true Roma mercato and while not being CL winning, would have put us firmly in the position where all but Inter had to play catch-up!

Whatever happened to the Rosina rumors?

Maro, agreed somewhat on "Quags". I have to admit that I was caught with hype of this guy last summer (Damn you, Chris!). He seemed like a very interesting prospect, and still is, but a lot of people tend overrate his current value. Also, much like Baptista he'd be a backup for the reasons you pointed out.

Finally, I would love it if I were to see another Spalletti article asking for patience and assuring us that we have enough time to sign the players we need.

On Fiorentina last night...Mutu and Vargas are extremely sore points with me!

I'll concede, in Vargas' case, that he got a better deal from La Viola despite the gentleman's agreement we heard about back in the New Year that he'd come to Roma. On Mutu it's pointless saying any more. If only for Italy's sake I hope La Viola progress in the CL, both for our reputation and of course to bump up our coefficient.

As for i fratelli Della Valle and Cesare Prandelli however I have no such sympathies!

What is now more horrifying as regards our mercato is that since Malouda's "Thanks but no thanks to Roma," it seems that
Il Mister is back sniffing after Benayoun! Let's hope that he plays for la merdarossa tonight which will cup-tie him and should then put an end to further transfer rumours! Check this out from Goal.com...

Franchi, in a word...no!

If Benayoun fits better into the style of a team he can't get a regular start in than he would ours, what does that tell us of his talent and how much good he would do us? Man City and West Ham are supposed to want him. Let him go there...
