Yes, Dino, I agree - that, for me, is the little glitch in that story. I gather, though, that this is a new development which would, of course, explain the lack of historical evidence. As I understand it, the Becali brothers are the agents of almost every Romanian player - or, at least, are those through whom any move for any player from Romania is going to have to go. Moratti has over the past year or two developed a relationship with them, with an eye on securing advantages in that neck of the woods. Presumably the evidence of this relationship is still to come as the young talent coming through Romania starts to get snaffled up by Inter. As I understand it, Moratti wants to keep the Becali boys sweet and this is why he's paying them such a big bonus over the Chivu deal. Clearly he's interested in Chivu, too, but he has his eye on future possibilities too, as do the agents. This story has come up two or three times in the various reports surrounding the Chivu saga; I'm simply reporting what I've read on ilromanista and lagazzetta and goalcity. How true it all is I don't know, but this is part of the background to the sweeteners from Moratti and the Becali bros' determination to push Chivu to Inter. There is more at stake than just this individual transfer. Or so the reports have suggested.

So far, 13th of July, we still do not have any sponsor neither for equipments nor main sponsor (2 years without any already).
We can expect 5 to 6 M. more to come if we manage to get a sponsor + the sales or loan of NONDA.

Hey guys I tried to use a different account to register on XFF and it was not allowed. Weird because I used a different email account, different IP addresses etc, so like you all have said, I'm guessing Socc monitors this forum. What I think is very sad is how disparaging he was towards all of us, considering a good half didn't participate in the recent affair. Ok so he shut down the forum. Using broad and very liberal assumptions, I can kind of understand that but to state his hatred for everyone save for our resident attorney and call us names is simply amatuerish and terrible...

Maro, much like Glad and Italiamia, I echo your sentiments on this whole issue. Well said old boy. It has been a tramatic and heartbreaking experience for us all, one which we will never truely get over and shall haunt us for the rest of our days, and every time we hear the word xtreme... Ha yeah right, but that statement may be true for poor 'Socc', at least. Seriously, even though 'Socc' is viewing this forum regularly as a guest (w2k, i think you'll be banned from there soon enough), I think its time we move on and just let it go. Its getting boring anyway, and I realise I haven't talked about la magica in a long time (not that there's much to discuss at the moment, other than the Chivugate, and I'd rather not, as its (seemingly) a pain that nevers ends). 'Socc' may be a crazy demented old nut, but let him be a crazy demented old nut old nut all he wants over there, we have this new forum now and I think we should just get on with it and concentrate our efforts on our new home.

Jamoldo, that is really interesting. Would we really pull out of the Super Cup, and if so, would we be in trouble with Legio Calcio for doing so? I can't imagine they'd look so kindly on a team pulling out just because they are having difficulties negotiating a transfer. This whole debacle could lead to some real bad tension between the clubs, not that we were the best of friends already, and I can imagine a game with Inter now could be quite contentious.
