Kaka surgery was 'useless'

Milan’s club doctor Jean Pierre Meersseman has astonishingly claimed that Kaka’s recent knee operation was a waste of time.

Having been blighted by a knee problem throughout last season, Kaka went under the knife last month and faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

But Meersseman insists that Brazil’s national doctor Jose Luiz Runco was wrong to perform the procedure because it only treated Kaka’s meniscus injury and not the inflammation of his tendon.

“With the operation the player wanted, time was lost because he had to undergo rehabilitation without curing the other problem,â€

Possibly. We were supposed to have the best medical facilities and the Milan Lab used to be the standard bearer in training and recovery. Wonder if this has anything to do with the last club doctor retiring about 3-4 years back.

Anyhow the team still manages to look decent. If only we everyone could be healthy from the start.

Milan to steal Ivanovic?

Reports in the peninsula suggest that Milan are ready to fight Juventus for the signature of Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.

The Old Lady have already approached Chelsea with an offer for Serbian star Ivanovic – a player they tried to lure before his move to Stamford Bridge in January.

However, Milan are currently looking for a defender to act as cover for Alessandro Nesta in an ageing and injury-prone back line.

Ivanovic is yet to make an appearance for the Blues and has reportedly been told by new boss Luiz Felipe Scolari that he doesn’t feature in first-team plans.

According to Sportmediaset, Milan are ready to move in with a bid of around £1.8m to take Ivanovic for the season with an option to make the deal permanent next summer.

If Juventus are committed to signing Ivanovic, a bidding war could develop because the Turin outfit are more than capable of beating the Rossoneri’s offer.

we are down by a goal at the half. i can't say im too impressed by the attack at all, we're playing a christmas tree with pirlo and seedorf in support of paloschi.

the kid has combined well with seedorf, hes had shots on goals. but we are so weak up front its hard to watch. lets hope these urugayan kids can help us.

the goal was a defensive error, from a throw in flamini misjudged the bounce of a ball and he headed into bojinov's path who unleashed a left footed volley to the upper 90. dida had no chance for it.
