A poor first half comes to an end. Anyone has a good stream for the match? I'm watching it on JustinTv, but the picture is quite sloppy & buffers a lot

Anyone watching the Inter game? A few things;

- Crespo is not suited for this formation whatsoever despite having 2 good chances to score
- We're not going to be playing any form of attractive football but rather, efficient football.
- We're going to be fairly difficult to break down due to the organization of the midfield and defense
- We're going to have many 1 - 0 and 2 - 0 victories this season
- Rivas is a gun CB in the making and Burdisso is looking very sharp
- Mancini is looking very impressive

A lot better second half.

- The attack looked a lot more potent with Ibra, Adriano and Figo. Had Mancini stayed on instead of Figo it would of been even more dangerous imo.

- Seville had about 3 good chances but we had our fair share as well.

Overall, very encouraging signs towards the end of the match. It's easy to see that one of Ibra or Adriano need to playing all the time just to provide some creativity up front as Crespo doesn't seem like the player we need for this formation. The defense and midfield are very solid but with the added solidarity means we sacrifice some of our attacking potency which is to be expected from Mourinho's tactics being geared towards European football. We should also remember we played a team worthy of the CL and not some second division team so all things considered, it was a good hit-out.

Cajun, you are right on Crespo but on another day he might've got lucky with that first time hit volley and later with the double chance...that aside, he has certainly been working out, got a good bit of the excess weight off! Are we going to get this guy on a Bosman or what?

Balotelli could've really made a name for himself in the opening minute and although Mancini can play both wings I preferred him on the left. I see his finishing is just the same though. You will have to get used to that...for every goal he scores there will be annoying misses in between! Maicon made a difference for you and I thought Maxwell was his usual good self.

He provides very little with being able to play the ball, though. Like you said, he did have his chances but I would rather a striker who is able to create a bit more than be a target man with this specific formation. As a team, we looked so much better as soon as a half fit Ibra and Adriano hit the pitch so that says something.

I don't think you'll be getting him on a Bosman because he belongs to Inter and therefore, we must assume he does have a contract at this point even though we there seems to be some confusion regarding this.

Agreed about the midfield not supporting the strikers as much as they should. Thats where me must focus tactically for the next few games to get that right. When we have the numbers and move forward while passing the ball, we look very good. It's when we're counter attacking that we don't have enough players up front and we're outnumbered like 6 to 2 so I suppose we're looking to be playing with a more methodical build up than breaking away quickly up the pitch.

Cajun I agree with preferring a more creative forward, one who can contribute to build up play, that would be my choice too...yet when you see an out and out target man constantly deliver the goods it becomes one hell of an argument!

I can't see Mou letting you hang on to Crespo as he wants to cut the squad size down.

Along with Suazo and Pele, dacourt is also on the market if latest reports are to be believed.Suazo may move on loan to Roma if they fail to land Malouda.On the other hand Suazo or Pele may be included in the deal for Quaresma.
