Frank, it is predictable that at this point in time, we retreat to defend in the last 20 mins or so. We dont have fresh legs, and the players tire out after about 65 mins. So all they do in these kind of matches is sit back and defend the result.
For the time being, my biggest worry is the amalgamy between midfield & attacker. We're usually either too flat, or too narrow. We need to have a better counter-timing. I hope it gets better with time.

No doubt it should get better with time, Lomba. I have faith that when the legs in midfield are working up to their potential, ball movement and player movement will take the attacking and defending to the next level for the whole team. Here's something I thought you in particular might enjoy from Mourinho's press conference:

"Cambiasso played very well in defence tonight, Burdisso is also playing very well, and Toldo made three very decisive saves. The team is balanced on the pitch. The second half was better because we kept more possession. The last fifteen minutes were important to keep our lead because this will happen often during the season.

He might just do enough for Mourinho to keep him.

Inter In €27m Quaresma Bid?

Inter are lining up a mega €27m bid for Porto star Ricardo Quaresma according to Corriero De Manha.

The Nerazzurri have been hunting the midfielder following their failure to sign Frank Lampard from Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the Dragoes star and reports suggest he is keen to bring Quaresma to San Siro.

Portuguese daily Correiro De Manha claims that sources close to the club have revealed the Italian champions are ready to blow a massive €27m on the player.

It is believed Inter will table their bid by the end of the week with a view to wrapping up a deal by next Monday.

A number of injuries have affected the side, forcing Mourinho to look for cover, and Quaresma could be the alternative to Dejan Stankovic, who may join Juventus.

Mourinho has always revealed his penchant for his fellow country men and it seems as if Porto will let their man leave for the sum the Nerazzurri are likely to offer.

Reports claim Quaresma will be offered €3m per season package and he will pen a five year deal if the transfer goes ahead.

Mourinho Satisfied, Ends Ranieri Feud

Inter coach Jose Mourinho was satisfied with his side’s 1-0 win over Bayern Munich on Tuesday night. The result sees Inter lift the Beckenbauer Cup as well as the Pirelli trophy. The 'Special One' also settled the Ranieri battle.

The Nerazzurri were better than their opponents on the night and it was new signing Amantino Mancini who settled the affair in the second half.

Mourinho was pleased with the performance and he is hoping the team continues to evolve following the good display in the Allianz Arena.

Internazionale have completed the signing of teenage prospect Felice Natalino, according to reports from Italy...

The 16-year-old has come to be known as one of Italy's most promising youngsters during his spells in the youth systems of both Crotone and Genoa.

Sources from the continent confirm that the Nerazzurri have added the defender to their ranks after a lengthy series of negotiations.

Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Roma - among others - were also after the youngster, who has starred for Italy at junior level.

Natalino will become part of the club's prestigious Allievi Nazionali youth set-up, which is overseen by Piero Ausilio.

The teenager was also linked with moves to Lecce and the Nerazzurri in the past and there was also interest from abroad.

Reports in Italy claim that Manchester city and Monaco were also after the player and the English club were ready to table an offer for him when Sven Goran Eriksson was in charge of the the side.

The talent from Lamezia will now be hoping to continue his impressive work at the Nerazzurri. His future seems bright as he is regarded as one of Italy's hottest prospects.
