I think Juve should just get Ivanovic on loan. You don't know the extent of Knezevic's injury but getting a CB like him is never a bad idea. He is tall, aggressive, and probably compliment Chiellini the best aside from Legro.

Manninger joins Juventus

Austrian international goalkeeper tender Alex Manninger has signed for Juventus and is relishing the chance to play understudy to Gigi Buffon.

Manninger spent last season on loan to Siena from Red Bull Salzburg and impressed in Tuscany.

The 31-year-old has now joined Juve in London and is ready to give his all to the Bianconeri cause.

Sergio's set for Florence

Juventus midfield flop Sergio Almiron is set to leave Turin for Fiorentina on loan with a deal likely to be announced in the next few hours.

The Argentine talent arrived at Juve from Empoli last summer but he didn’t settle in Piedmont and was sent on loan to Monaco for the final part of the season.

Claudio Ranieri still sees Almiron as surplus to requirements and is ready to let him leave for another year.

Argentine side River Plate had been in the frame for the 27-year-old’s signature but they couldn’t afford his wages.

And Fiorentina, who have been watching Almiron for a year, are ready to complete a long-awaited loan deal.

The Corriere dello Sport expects the Viola to pay around £300,000 for the midfielder’s services with the option to buy half his rights at the start of next summer.

Viola announce Almiron arrival

Fiorentina have officially announced the arrival of Juventus midfielder Sergio Almiron on a season loan.

The Argentine midfielder hasn’t managed to assert himself in Turin since arriving from Empoli last summer.

And the 27-year-old will now hope to regain his confidence at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

“Fiorentina would like to announce that they have signed Almiron from Juventus on a temporary basis with the option for a co-ownership agreement at the end of the contract,â€

Juve In London For Ivanovic

Juventus management has reportedly touched down in London today in an effort to secure the services of 24 year old centre back Branislav Ivanovic from Chelsea...

Recent reports have linked Serbian defender Branislav Ivanovic with a move to the Bianconeri. Now, it appears that the mooted deal is close to becoming reality.

The player has failed to settle in London and has refused to close the door on a possible summer exit. With Chelsea looking to rebuild and offload dead wood, a switch from Stamford Bridge to the Turin giants would appear to be a win-win situation.

Now, reports suggest that a travelling troupe of Juve reps have touched down in London with a view to forcing through the potential transfer in person.

The Juve backline has been at the centre of much criticism so far this season, with many believing that Giorgio Chiellini is the only reliable defender in the squad.

Injuries have also added to coach Claudio Ranieri's problems. New signing Dario Knezevic is clearly struggling, with others finding it difficult to reach peak physical condition.

Reports state that the Bianconeri are prepared to make a bid of €5million for the Chelsea man - a fee which could be enough to pry him from the Blues' clutches. It is clear that the Serbian defender doesn't figure in the plans of new Chelsea gaffer Felipe Scolari.
