No Quaresma Offers - Porto
While his team-mates featured in the tournament ‘the City of Braga’, Porto winger Ricardo Quaresma stayed at home convalescing from ‘physical problems’. Reports in Italy suggest that the winger could still be about to join Internazionale. However, his club insist that no bid has formally been received.

The acquisition of Quaresma would be seen as the icing on the cake for the Italian champions’ summer spending spree.

Among others, Mancini and Sulley Muntari have already been added as high profile signings, but it is the potential € 40million capture of the Portuguese forward that is still being talked abut in Milan.

However, Jorge Nuno Pinto, the president of Porto, has revealed that no renewed bid has been received for Quaresma. He added that every member of the squad is potentially for sale, provided a sufficient asking price is met.

He spoke during the Dragons’ match yesterday evening.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Pinto said: “We haven’t received any authentic offers for Quaresma. Inter have been informed of the fixed figure release clause, giving advance notice of a counter-proposal, which I have not yet received.

“All the players of Porto are potentially on the market, including Quaresma. Obviously, they will leave in light of a reasonable offer. The release clause of Quaresma is fixed at €40million. There are other valuations that may be given by us at another time.â€

BRANCA and ORIALI are getting so good at dealing and tray to get blood out of stones .
my opinion is that they have a deal with the gipsy and tray to frustrate porto as much as possible
and get the prize where they want .if not

Let's hope that's true briz. I can't fault Branca and Oriali on the Quaresma matter. I'd rather leave Quaresma at Porto than be held to ransom for the price they're asking.

Good news is that Rivas as back in full training and Corodoba and Samuel are back to high intensity work with and without the first team. Slowly but surely..

After playing in Steaua Bucharest's 2-1 victory over Brasov last night, Mirel Radoi declared he was ready to join Inter Milan this week.
"I want to go to Milan this week," said the Romania defender. "For me it is a unique opportunity. I cannot ignore it.

I cant complain about the knowledge of football in Malta. Here half the population is an EPL follower, and the other half is a Serie A follower. Practically everyone knows what goes around and the real supporters really know their stuff here. But this conversation reminds of football discussions with 'supporters' from the other sex.. 99% are purely dumb. I quite remember being disgusted when I was in a local bar watching the CL final between Man U & Bayern Munich of 1999, and next to me there were 3 young ladies wearing a Man U shirt, watching the match. Bayern dominated that whole damn match, yet all they could say was 'Ah dont worry, these Germans cant win as long as there's David (Beckham) in there.' ' Come on David, show 'em'....and so on. I was already ready to blow the shit out of them as soon as the ref signalled the end of the match. I was preparing the beer so as to soak them wet (me & some friends). Then in the fuckin last 5 mins. they score 2 and win the match...and they're like 'YEAAAHHH DAVID, YOU MADE IT' ' YOU"RE THE BEST'...................To this very day, I still want to vomit when I think about those bloody bitches.
And that was obviously not the only incident, but there are way to many to mention.
