Juventus Ready To Pounce For Schweinsteiger

Juventus are currently on standby and ready to swing into action for Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger according to Tuttosport.

The Bianconeri have been after a decent midfielder all summer and they have already been linked with the German.

Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso was set to arrive in Turin but this never happened.

Juve have always kept their options open and transfer guru, Alessio Secco, revealed how the club would be signing some more players by the end of August.

The Juventus transfer market may not yet be closed with reports still calling the names of Ivanovic and Stankovic

Midfielder Dejan Stankovic is no stranger to the Juventus faithful, and this may be the problem that has kept him from arriving at the club in recent weeks.

Fans of the Old Lady seem to be unanimously against the idea of having the 29 year old Serbian wearing the black and white of their beloved Juve. It was at one stage reported to be a done deal, but protests from supporters has left the transfer in limbo.

These reports have now been resurrected after the Juventus midfield has come under scrutiny and it is thought that the bianconeri management wants to cover their bases with a midfielder and a defender before closing their checkbook until January.

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic is rumoured to be keen on a move away from Stamford Bridge and a win-win situation could present itself with a move to the Turin club. The Juve backline has been at the centre of much criticism so far this season, with many believing that Chiellini is the only reliable defender in the squad.

Reports linking the Russian to the bianconeri see a loan spell at the club as a very real possibility, with current Juve flop Tiago used as a bargaining chip in a swap deal for Stankovic from Inter Milan. The next few days will reveal whether the transfer market still has any shades of black and white in it.
