I learned a new word today...
strabiliante which simply means astonishing! Of course I knew the words sorprendente, stupefacente, and the verb meravigliare: to astonish!
They all mean much the same thing and it goes without saying that the Mediaset tv text service wasn't directing the word astonishing in a complimentary sense toward our beloved club's transfer activities. I'm still fairly new around here and I don't know if anyone else shares my cynical opinion...any football club can make it look like its management is trying to bring in new players...putting on a show as it were for the fans.
Glad & Steve have touched on this in a round about way...I'm saying straight out that I wonder how much money is going into back pockets instead of where it should be going!
Having spent my youth in Glasgow, Scotland...and having in those days seen Celtic FC suffer for years because of finances being misappropriated, it's not so surprising my attitude and thoughts are along the lines they are!
