Believe me Frank I'd be the first to put my hand up if Aqua was available. But we paid so much cash for a world class manager in Mourinho that we must have faith in how he decides to shape the squad. We're going to hear a lot about how it's impossible to play the 4-3-3 with Inter but what else do you expect from certain sections of anti-inter media? If the worst scenario presents itself, we can always go back to the 4-4-2 or the 4-3-1-2 that has won us the last 2 scudetti.

Mourinho seemed worried about the defence but he also talked about other players:
"Materazzi? It must be a muscular problem. We will analyse the situation in the next days. Adriano? He only played 45 minutes nevetheless I am not happy about his performance. He looked confident with the ball and with his position without the ball. Muntari? He was a bit tired. He had already work a lot with his former team. However, he has been usefull to the team and he also showed some good finishes. He's a player that can adapt very well to our team."

Inter.it better have made a mistake.. it certainly doesn't sound right that he wasn't happy about his performance.

Moratti Imposter Makes Stankovic Cry
An imposter pretending to be Inter president Massimo Moratti caused Dejan Stankovic to shed a few tears according to CHI magazine.

The Serbian doesn’t seem like he is a part of Jose Mourinho’s club and he was due to move to bitter rivals Juventus.

That move, so far, has not happened leading to new questions about the player’s future.

Inter ponder Radoi raid Thursday 31 July, 2008

Inter are ready to start their defender search after Marco Materazzi’s injury and the new name on the short-list is Matei Radoi.

Nerazzurri boss Jose Mourinho admitted after Tuesday evening’s Trofeo TIM that he was worried about his lack of options at the back.

Walter Samuel, Cristian Chivu and Ivan Cordoba are all currently sidelined and the loss of Materazzi for nearly a month with a thigh strain is a big blow.

After a crisis meeting between President Massimo Moratti and technical director Marco Branca yesterday, Inter are set to return to the market to find a new recruit.

The ideal solution for Moratti is a free transfer swoop for former Roma defender Matteo Ferrari, who would be an able and cheap option.

But another possibility is Romanian international Radoi. The experienced 27-year-old currently plies his trade for Steaua Bucharest and would be likely to accept a move on a loan basis.

Mourinho’s assistant Andre Villas Boas was spotted watching Radoi playing for Steaua in a friendly against Roma last week.

More ambitious suggestions for the job include Feyenoord stopper Ron Vlaar and Greek Under-21 international Sokratis Papastathopoulos, but either would require a greater financial investment.

Meanwhile, Inter have signed a star of the future in 15-year-old left-back Mattia Desole, who arrives from Swiss side Grasshoppers.

Yes, lets see how much of these youngsters actually get some decent playing time with our senior squad in the future.
Today we've been linked with a move for Lazio's Ledesma. It is said we offered 12M + Pele (have no idea if on loan or what else) for the playmaker who has officially decided to leave Lazio. I really like this player, and consider him to be the best player on Lazio's roster (even more than Pandev & Rocchi). Excellent playmaker, good ball distributing, nice shot & a pretty amazing ability on set pieces. I'm not too aware on his actual field position. I'm not sure if he plays in the centre of the park (Pizarro type) or a little more forward, behind the strikers. But I think the first is the correct. Whether we did make a move or are actually interested, is yet to be seen, but Ledesma has officially declared he no longer wants to stay at Lazio, and his agent said that its better for Lazio to sell now rather than let the player move on the article 17 next year. We'll see what happens, but 1 thing is for sure. Lotito is a fucken asshole when it comes to negotiations, so I dont expect much out of this, altough he would definately add that something which is so much missing in our team..

Matteo Ferrari si avvicina ai nerazzurri. La dirigenza di via Durini non ha minimamente intenzione di spendere soldi o di investire per il futuro e sembrerebbe decisa ad acquistare lo svincolato ex giallorosso che dovrebbe legarsi all’Inter per e anni a 2.3 milioni di euro netti a stagione. Un investimento da 14 milioni di euro, forse un pò troppi per un semplice rincalzo. In breve la cessione di Burdisso servirebbe per pagare, in parte, il triennale di Ferrari. L’altra ipotesi era Zapata, ma il colombiano è stato accantonato perchè anche lui fermo ai box fino a settembre. Perchè spendere quei soldi per un difensore mediocre, quando potresti investire e cercare un calciatore in grado di giocare ad alti livelli per 5-6 anni? L’Inter ha 3 difensori centrali, Cordoba (la sua esplosività difficilmente verrà recuperata dopo il serio infortunio avuto a 32 anni), Samuel e Materazzi (36 anni), perchè Chivu , tornato comunque ad allenarsi in gruppo, nello scacchiere di Mourinho giocherebbe come esterno di sinistra per proteggere le “fugheâ€
