Ships built on the Clyde were reckoned to be the very best anywhere! They also, in conjunction with the St Rollox works in Glasgow's Springburn area, built some of the finest steam locos for the world's railways! Unlike the long defunct Rootes/Chrysler car plant outside Elderslie which produced amongst others, the Hillman Avenger with its infamous "fish tank" boot (trunk) so called for obvious reasons!!!

Yes Angela, before oil, Scotch whisky was the big money earner...and it still gives much needed tax monies to our...government?!!! But Andrew is right, in the long term Scotland will not be able to depend upon oil and gas revenue!

Or for that matter on Scotland's "other national drink," Barr's Irn-Bru!

Ahmed & Oily, you should ask Andrew to explain the intricacies of a haggis hunt at 4am...

I meant me, dino, and bagg would all lose about 700 posts each, and that was just an estimate. Personally, it doesn't really matter to me what bagg does. It wouldn't mean a thing to me. Posts are just posts, I could start out with 0 right now for all I care. All I want to do is discuss football, and deleting posts wouldn't really affect that. I'm sure shield might care since it's his forum and I'm sure he would like his forum to grow and this would be a step backwards in some ways. But, what I'm saying is if you really care about it then I suggest bagg do what the people want.
