Inter striker Mario Balotelli is arguably one of the most interesting young Italian players around (though he still has to wait a few weeks to get his passport and become 'officially' Italian). Today on La Gazzetta dello Sport he gives an interview in which he talks about the comparison between Inter and city rivals Milan.

"Pato, Kaká, and Ronaldinho are better than Balotelli, Ibrahimovic, and Adriano? What about Cruz, Crespo and Suazo? We should be scared? Please...," he said.

He then talked about some of the players he admires most, citing a pair who are not exactly seen as examples of professionalism: "My idol? Ronaldo, Luis Nazario obviously... The nicest? Cassano."

Balotelli had less kind words for another big name player: "The most arrogant? Cristiano Ronaldo, he's a true phenomenon, one of my favorites, but I can't stand some of his mannerisms..."

The 17-year-old will obtain his Italian citizenship when he turns 18 on 12 August, at which point he will be eligible to play for the Azzurri.

Inter, Mou sogna ancora Lampard e studia le cessioni
Il rinnovo con il Chelsea sarebbe pronto ma il tecnico nerazzurro crede nell'operazione e prepara il mercato in uscita.

Nel regno di Sua Maestà temono che sì, effettivamente, Frankie possa vestire la maglia nerazzurra il prossimo anno anche se il 'Sunday Mirror' sostiene che il rinnovo con il Chelsea verrà firmato al rientro dalla Cina. Con Muntari e Mancini il mercato in entrata dell'Inter si è arricchito di due esterni e con l'inglese la campagna estiva sarebbe perfetta. Ma una società non vive di soli acquisti.



LA ROSA- José Mourinho, da quando è all'Inter, ha sempre sostenuto che il suo 4-3-3 poggia su 21 elementi a cui addizionare 3 portieri. Se l'aritmetica non è un'opinione, i conti non tornano. I giocatori sono 25 e dovrebbero aggiungersi, nell'ideale di Mou, Quaresma, Lampard e Ferrari. Dei tagli vanno fatti. Tra i partenti, quindi, ci sarebbero Stankovic, Suazo (già inserito in varie trattative), Rivas, Crespo, Pelé, Burdisso. CAPITOLO CESSIONI - L'attaccante che fu al centro di una disputa tra Inter e Milan lo scorso anno, potrebbe abbandonare Milano per andare al Bologna in prestito anche se un certo interesse è stato dimostrato anche da Sampdoria, Siviglia e Porto. Crespo non intende lasciare l'Inter, mentre per Stankovic ci sarebbe la solita Juve. Pelé potrebbe andare in prestito per crescere in un'altra squadra. Per Burdisso discorso a parte: la Fiorentina sarebbe pronta a cercare una soluzione ma un difensore in attesa dei rientri potrebbe, dopo tutto, tornare utile a Mourinho.

Gossip - I was talking the other day with a cousin of mine who still lives in Como (I used to live there when I was very young, and my mother is from there too), and apart from the usual chit-chat I usually have with him about Inter (all my mother's family are Interisti), he gave me some really good news, if true. According to him (he is sure, but he's also a bit of a lunatic at times), Quaresma has already bought his home in the area where this cousin of mine lives. This article somehow supports this rumour of his, so lets see what happens. Hopefully, we'll have Quaresma, as Branca said, by the end of the week.

Ottimistiche anche le previsioni riguardanti il tempo necessario alla chiusura dell'affare: "Anche Mourinho ha ammesso che il giocatore ci piace, io penso che entro il termine di questa settimana tutto possa essere risolto". Nessun accenno, invece, alle cifre dell'operazione: "Non voglio parlare di soldi, vedremo. Ogni cosa a suo tempo".
Il quotidiano portoghese cita anche fonti vicine al giocatore, che descrivono Quaresma come impaziente e voglioso di intraprendere questa nuova avventura.
Un motivo in più per rassicurare i tifosi nerazzurri, il prossimo anno, Mustang sarà agli ordini di Mourinho.

Inter hint at new Lamps offer - Italian giants still keen to land midfielder this summer

Inter Milan chief executive Ernesto Paolillo has insisted the Serie A giants have not given up hope of signing Chelsea's Frank Lampard this summer.

England international Lampard has been strongly linked with a transfer to Giuseppe Meazza as former Blues boss Jose Mourinho plots for his debut term in charge of Inter.

Chelsea have clearly indicated they have no plans to sell the 30-year-old, even though they could lose Lampard on a free transfer at the end of next season when his current contract expires.

Inter recently failed with a £7.95million bid for the midfielder's services, however Paolillo has hinted the club could be set to make an improved offer before the end of the transfer window.

"We will see how things evolve in the next coming days," Paolillo said.

"But that is not to say that the negotiations are over.

"Anyway, we have made sure we have a competitive team even without Lampard."

Meanwhile, it is widely reported that the Italian giants are expected to complete the signing of Sulley Muntari from Portsmouth on Saturday.

On the day that Inter unveil Sulley Muntari, director Marco Branca hints that the Italian champions are closing in on Ricardo Quaresma.

Quaresma has long been linked to the Beneamata and is highly rated by Inter Coach and compatriot Jose Mourinho.

And now it seems that a deal could be made with Porto just hours after Muntari touches down in Milan.
