I chose instead to watch Napoli beat Panionios on tv last night for the second time in a week as I wanted to see another Italian team in Europe to help fly Il Tricolore...

The only positives I can find from our own game were at least we didn't field a recognised first team, those who played certainly were not match fit, and credit to Vuci for his gol di punizione!

Giovanni, my views on this societa are very similar to yours but in this case, I need to give them a break. They seemed to have done everything right in order to get THE best player/fit for our team in Mutu. Had Prandelli not thrown his hissy fit at the last minute and DV called off what was already a done deal, we would be in terrific shape for the next few years (especially if we could have worked out the loan for Baptista). That was not Prade/Rosella's fault. It was a done deal. Because of that last minute, unexpected turn of events, we're back to the drawing board. I certainly don't like it, but for once, I can't blame Prade/Rosella. For everything else............different sory.

Ita, you talk of what I call Roma being Roma, or history repeating itself. It all amounts to the same thing.

I know I've already said so but I liken it to a man whose life's work should amount to operating a small chain of businesses instead of playing the penny-pinching old miser in just one shop. It's heartbreaking as a giallorosso to realise that until we have a collective body in upper management with the sophistication needed to progress beyond our present level then we never will.

I'm no dramatist but I fear we're looking at one in order to remove the family from the business that is AS Roma. Until that's done there can be no change and calciomercati like this summer's will remain a reality.
