L'anno scorso nel giro di una settimana o quindici giorni, ho perso il posto da titolare nel Milan e anche la possibilità di essere convocato in Nazionale, anche perchè nello stesso momento sono avvenuti i fatti di Catania. Per caratteristiche, Emerson toglie più spazio a me che a Gourcuff, ma il fatto che Brocchi stia fuori non fa notizia. Quello che faccio io passa in secondo piano. A Mosca ho fatto un gol che se lo avesse fatto qualche altro compagno di squadra se ne sarebbe parlato per giorni interi. Il mio gol, invece, è passato quasi inosservato. Comunque non ho assolutamente intenzione di andar via. La maglia del Milan è troppo importante".

he pisses me off too. if he is gonna complain about being a joker, then we should send the bum elsewhere. the best is that he audaciously suggests that milan won the champions league in 2003 and 2007 because in those seasons he was given a lot of starts. yes, i'm sure it was all because of you, brocchi.

indeed. i didn't think there was much of a chance of him coming here, nor was he someone we desperately needed. apparently, though, saf did offer him to us for the same ten million, but either we turned him down (likely, too expensive), or he turned us down (also likely, not interested in being a sub). perhaps a little of both. still, one has to wonder if he will start in madrid. he does have a german passport himself, though.

Rossoneri legend Ruud Gullit is reported to have personally recommended the free-scoring 24-year-old to his former employers, and Milan’s strong Dutch connection could give them the edge over fellow suitors Juventus and Real Madrid.



Huntelaar put his disappointment at being left out of the Netherlands squad on Friday behind him with a highly impressive four-goal haul during Ajax’s rout of De Graafschap on the weekend. this guys has like 80 odd goals in around 100 odd games for ALL of his teams in the past 3-4 years. (i just realized how much of a far fetched statistic that is..)

i would love to have huntelaar on our roster. it would be too good. i think with ronaldo getting injured, the bald fuck realized that we'll need another striker...

the problem is that his attributes are all no different from gilardino's, who was also a prolific goal machine before joining us. it would be a gamble, but i wouldn't be completely against this move provided it doesn't cost too much, as we currently only have one and a half poachers. pippo is hardly ever fit, and gila is hardly ever on form.

i think the management is willing to give gilardino one more chance to shine this season.

if he comes up with 15+ goals, including in important games, i think we'll keep him. if his contribution is lax, i think this will be his final season.

but ive always liked gilardino, i just hope he has a killer season this time around so he can actually prove his worth to not only us, but to all the haters too.

but still, having huntelaar as backup to gilardino or vice versa, it would be simply phenomenal.

but i also must warn myself first to not get carried away with this rumor. but it was fun to think about fo sho.

Took Emerson long enough to realize which the best club in the world is...at least we've got an experienced, motivated player who seems determined to show up his critics...and hey he's Brazilian so he must be good ...

I'm backing Gila to have a breakaway season...hopefully he's worked on his positioning and links well with Kaka and Seedorf... It took Drogba two seasons at Chelsea to become the monster he is; no reason Gila can't do the same...

Poor Thakur underestimates the greatness of Kaladze...and how he forgot to even mention Favagol is beyond me...not credited as a backup CB or fullback...what more does this guy need to do just to be noticed?..

Somebody should knock some sense into that idiot's head. firstly, if there's a line that i wouldn't mind having in the 30s its defence, that brings so much experience which is absolutely needed for a top team. We make up for the fitness issues that naturally come with age by over-covering ourselves there. In CB we have 3 world class CBs. Bonera would be a starter in 17-18 of teams in Serie A too. Favagol, Simic are not exactly amatures either. We may also include Digao too. He thinks the fullback situation and depth is much better than the CB when its actually the other way around, but he's a moron so thats expected of him

Our midfield is now probably THE best in Europe, in terms of depth, quality, and characteristics each player brings to the team. This can give us an edge particularly in big games where things are very tight, our midfield can make all the difference.

I accept the question marks over Dida (even though, apart from Buffon, I do not see another GK better than him in Serie A). The fitness issues for R99 and Pippo are both expected and definitely concerning, however, with Emerson's singing, Carletto has everything he needs to employ Xmas tree formation whenever needed. When Pato is eligible to play, things will even even easier. Bottom line, while our squad is not perfect, we are, for now at least, well equipped to strongly challenge for both CL and Serie A and try to win one of them at least

Ronaldo slims down, weight problems down to illness

MILAN, Aug 24 (Reuters) - Ronaldo's weight problems in recent years were caused by hypothyroidism, but pills and a new training regime have made the Brazil striker much fitter, his club AC Milan have said.

Ronaldo was ridiculed by fans and the press during his time at Real Madrid when his weight ballooned and he became known as "el gordo" (the fat one).

He moved to AC Milan in January in a bid to rebuild his career and has since lost 5.5 kgs.


The weight loss programme, coupled with a hamstring injury, means he will not be fit for Sunday's Serie A kick-off at Genoa but he is expected to be back in three weeks.

"Soon you will see him, very soon. It will be a surprise for everyone. He seems like a model," Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti told Italian media on Friday.

"He will have a great season, he is very motivated and really wants to demonstrate again that he is the strongest attacker in the world."

Hypothyroidism is caused by insufficient production of hormones by the thyroid gland and can lead to weight gain.

yeah, i have hyperthyroidism in my family on my mother's side, so it's the opposite.

5.5kg is huge. losing that much fat can make an enormous difference on not just cardio, but also power. a small percentage of that may be muscle mass, but that's not significant.

too bad he will miss our first three, maybe four competitive games.
