Yet another player with a major injury that Roma is trying to get on loan. Now its Kamara. Whoever we get, it will NOT be because Spalletti requested him or because Conti ID'ed him as a great talent. Roma are only targeting rejects from other clubs that they could get for free/loan or at ridiculous discounts. I'm all for a bargain when finances are tight, but when the ONLY players you even consider are broken or damaged in one way or another, its depressing. Ita, I'd really love to be able to watch and listen in our upper management's offices, just to see what the real story is...

Imagine a man spending his life running one shop when with a little foresight and planning he could have been sitting back letting others work for him while he supervised a small chain of shops! Is this Roma's curse...just not having the ability to move up to the next level?

Publicly we are told Baptista wasn't even approached officially though we are assured the man wants to come to our club. We heard at the week end that Italpetroli have been cut a little slack with extended credit which could give us a little more of the hard stuff to play with and quite apart from anything else should more effort not go into securing young Aquilani with a slightly better salary and the promise of more playing time or is Pizarro now considered by our executive staff to be DDR's midfield partner? Next week when the Aquilani contract talks take place hopefully someone on our management team will realise that to allow that boy to slip through our fingers especially to Juve or Inter who will do their damndest to kick us into 4'th place from 2'nd is an act of absolute madness...

...and yes, Il Mister Luciano will lose his patience! He was refused new players in January...a repeat show now will mean his last season with us!

Other sources are quoting 15mil, Avvocato. Which is, of course, also rather a lot of money. He would, though, be a good fit - a goal-scorer who can play anywhere across the trequartista line and also up top if required. Certainly, on paper, he would offer more than Mancini managed last season. His acquisition would, at least, be a statement of some kind of ambition.

I believe I read that it was 15 but included a sum of money per year that Roma qualifies for the Champions League while Mutu is here...I could certainly be wrong though.

If it works out to 20 million, then it is a fine deal.

A proven Serie A goal scorer......with multiple squads.....something that Podolski, Gomez, Villa and some of the other 20 million strikers we were rumored with cannot boast....there is no question in my mind that Mutu puts this team over the top....now let us just pray that Malouda or Baptista can come on loan as well.....

"Incredibile blitz della Roma" - somehow this strikes me as a tautology. Or maybe it's an oxymoron. I can't quite decide. A blitz from Roma? A swift and decisive strike? No doubt that would be truly incredible. Hence, no doubt, the reason I'm finding it so hard to believe.

For Shield, the piece is from calciomercato.it and suggests that a deal has been reached with the player and that the final details of the transfer are just being sorted out with Fiorentina, working from a base of around 15mil +, no doubt, a few bonuses for CL qualification etc. etc. "Incredibile blitz," indeed; such celerity quite literally beggars belief. I wonder if we might just sign him by the end of July (2112, naturally).

Although I'm not perticularly fond of him, if he do the business I might change my mind. However, 20 million is way to fucking much.
