That's good to know, tk; actually, that's one of the questions I always ask myself when two players are being compared - I wonder which one tk would prefer?

Just giving my two cents Maro. I think Malouda would be a nice fit for Roma. He was excellent for France in the WC and great for Lyon. He would fit into your system nicely. Reyes is just missing something... I don't know what, but he has been different since going back to Spain.

I know, tk, but presumably you can see that your reply is more interesting, in its own right, than your first comment: commenting on what you perceive to be a player's strengths and weaknesses is always likely to be more interesting than simply announcing which player you like more. You'll need to persuade us that your value-judgements are interesting enough in and of themselves, I guess.

Why have you written such a "Long Why" post if you weren't interested in the first place? Plus and most importantly, you can't dictate to posters what they should or shouldn't write.

Actually, Ahmed, I suspect, strictly, that's not true, though I shouldn't particularly want to. Still, one can try and nudge people in the right sorts of directions. It would hardly be a bad thing were tk to come to realise that others are more interested in his reasoning than in his bald conclusions.

I will never understand the mentality of people on online forums. I try and try, but can never seem to grasp their over-sensitiveness and flaming insecurities. Definately a different breed.

He'd be over our cap, grasso - I think 3 mil has been being quoted. We'd have to hope for one of those ridiculous deals that we pulled with Monty at Samp last season and Chelski have pulled with Crespo over the years: one in which the player goes on loan while his home club continues picking up some proportion of his wages. It looks a bit of a long-shot in those sorts of terms, but could be done.
