Another string of very good posts, I see. You guys are making a habit of it. It must be the influence of time around so many Romanisti rubbing off on you (and no, not Morra's kind of rubbing off on someone). Milan clearly have loads of those kinds of fans because you've been so successful and therefore so visible. We have many, many fewer, but they still piss me off just the same. The real reason, I think, is that they're not actually true fans anyway. And by this I mean that what they're most interested in is the excitement of bringing in glamorous new players and buying a shirt to wear after school. They're not, though, interested in following how the team do away on a dreary January afternoon in Cagliari or Reggina. They only actually follow the team for about 6 weeks of the year - during the hunting season over summer and then for those half a dozen glamorous games the team's likely to get each season.

I quoted something from another board a week or so ago. It was something like "Is Roma still interested in that Denilson guy, or whatever his name is. I've never seen him play but he's Brazilian so he must be good and then we can get rid of that shit Cassetti." I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. Any kind of new signing is more glamorous than some tried and tested solid, reliable, unspectacular professional. I almost saw tears of rage.

that's just how it is. i can't stand having discussions with fans like those, because we will never see eye to eye. many of them actually wanted us to lose the final so that it would send a clear message to berlusconi et al to reinforce.

MILAN - The Corriere dello Sport-Stadio, reported this commented made by Fabio Capello at Budapest: "Bet on Emerson. Milan made a very good purchase because Emerson is a champion who can still give a lot. His physical problems? They're gone. A year ago, during his start of the Real Madrid adventure he had some problems, but then he recovered very well. Emerson is a complete midfielder, able to interpret perfectly all of the midfield roles."

i wonder what cap is doing in budapest? is he following the azzurri there, or there just for vacation. it is, perhaps, my favorite city in the world.
