I saw Baptista live in Seattle where he impressed me greatly and I believe he was Real's most influential player in our CL quarterfinal tie. I believe he blasted shots off the crossbar both in Seattle and in the quarters. I'm quite content with the pickup if it does in fact happen.

I'm as masterbatory over Rosina as the retards on Chris' blog, but I wouldn't mind a co-ownership with Torino if it is an option. He faded fairly fast (no alliteration intended) last season and I doubt he's really ready for a big club yet.

I don't see how Reyes could be a bad signing even though he had a poor season last year. Naturally he'll come cheap or on loan and, if he doesn't pan out, then it just means more playing time for guys like Cerci, Taddei and Esposito...but if he does: Jackpot.

Well, supposedly the deal is already done for Baptista, who should be in Rome next week. We are to give Real 10 million now, with a further payment depending on how well Baptista does this season. A new type of transaction I suppose. From what I hear, the additonal money will come into play in future transactions between the clubs. Thus, we have a contract to bring the player to Roma with a condition. That's all I have at the moment. Oh, Giuly's parting shot: "I never felt at home in Roma".

Lets not get too excited about Rosina. I would love to land him. He would be perfect for us. If he raises enough hell, perhaps. We would be the destination I believe. Niether Milan, juve, Inter or Fiorentina will make an offer for him. Perhaps being dilatory in the market may serve us well this summer. Lets wait and see.

It's possible then that we could see our calciomercato bring us Baptista, Crespo on a free, and Rosina if we compete with Bologna for him. Given the figures quoted in the above posts and the Goal.com article in mine then it is affordable. Not quite what I'd like to see us with but fair enough I guess, given our circumstances.

Talking of youth or at any rate rising young stars, have I missed it or has no-one else picked up on the fact we have lost Antunes to Lecce?

That was according to the Sport Italia channel around 18:30 yesterday. I have no details of the deal to give as I got the info only as a stated fact from the scrolling text at the bottom of the screen and I couldn't wait around to hear it being discussed if it even was...
