Bologna Set For Rosina Raid

Newly promoted Serie A outfit Bologna are making an ambitious move for unsettled Torino star Alessandro Rosina, according to sources in Italy.

Bologna have been quite prominent in the summer transfer market so far, capturing the likes of Brazilian hardman Coelho, as well as Lazio midfielder Gaby Mudingayi.

Sources in Italy suggest that the Emilia-Romagna outfit are now planning an ambitious next move in the form of Torino fantasista Alessandro Rosina.

Rosina is widely recognised as one of the most promising young players in Serie A, and he has been instrumental in saving the team from relegation in both of the past couple of seasons.

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a transfer to a host of big Italian clubs, including Roma and Inter, however he has always stated his desire to stay in Turin.

Earlier this week though Rosina revealed that he was considering leaving the club, and slammed President Urbano Cairo for failing to make any exciting signings.

Cairo hit back at Rosina the next day, and the player’s future at the Granata is now in doubt. Bologna are hoping to take advantage of this situation, and it is believed a fee of just €6.5m may be enough to get their man.

Aquilani Contract Problems Let In Inter?

Alberto Aquilani is no closer to solving his contract problems with Roma and, according to Tuttosport, this could open up the path again for a transfer to Inter.

Aquilani has been heavily linked with a move away from the Eternal City, as talks to renew his current contract, which runs out in 2010, have seemingly hit a brick wall.

The Italy international, who played at Euro 2008, has been asking for around €2.5m in wages per year, but the highest Roma have been willing to offer is €1.6m.

This has led to interest from a host of top European clubs, including Real Madrid, Arsenal, Juventus and Inter, the latter two of whom have promised the player a salary of €3m.

Tuttosport says that Aquilani’s contract problems are no closer to being solved, and as a result the chance of the player leaving the club is definitely possible.

Juventus are now out of the race having signed Christian Poulsen earlier this week, but Inter are very much on the lookout for a top class centre midfielder.

The Nerazzurri’s primary target is Cheslea’s Frank Lampard, but secondary options are Napoli’s Marek Hamsik and Aquilani. Hamsik will be almost impossible to prise away from the Partenopei this summer, but Aquilani, despite his allegiance to his hometown club Roma, may agree to a move.

Totti To Poulsen: You Can Shove Your Handshake!

Francesco Totti has continued his four-year war with new Juventus signing Christian Poulsen, snubbing the Danish midfielder’s offer of a handshake and saying that he adds nothing to the Bianconeri team.

Poulsen completed his €9.75m move to Juventus from Sevilla on Tuesday, signing a four year contract at the Stadio Olimpico.

The 28-year-old is something of an infamous figure in Italy, all dating back to his clash with Francesco Totti in the group game between Italy and Denmark at Euro 2004. Following the match, which ended in a 0-0 draw, television pictures showed Poulsen being spat on by Totti, an act that was missed by the referee.

"He could have come and told the truth at the hearing the day after. I don't think he adds anything [to Juve] at a technical level."

Totti also spoke about a possible return to the Italy national team, once again claiming that he may come back in time for the 2010 World Cup.

There is no way Juventus are getting Aquilani. Neither Aquilani will leave Roma nor Juventus are going to add any other player bar a goalie to the current roster. Besides, I am no longer sold on such lame rumours. Although, I've liked to know what other Juventini think of Aquilani to Juventus rumour.
