I'm inclined to agree, Avvocato. I suppose the question will be whether he can get his hunger and work-rate back, because without that I'm not sure he's quite of the highest class technically. I've always rated him because of what he gives going both ways, as it were, but I was often disappointed with how he struggled to take on his man one-on-one (thinking of the times he was up against John O'Shea, for instance, which should have been a mismatch in our favour and yet where he hardly made an impression on the game). Technically, I just don't think he's quite in the same class as players like Recoba, say, so it has to be about work-rate and movement. He may flourish when he's a bit freed of the weight of expectation at Inter - I suppose, for instance, his very best stretch for us was actually under Capello with Totti and Cassano leading the line, in that stretch before Christmas in 2002 or whenever it was, when he was still an unknown. On the other hand, he may find the going pretty tough and I'm not sure he's got the spine to rise to challenges.

L'avvocato statunitense Joe Tacopina si appresta a lasciare a mani vuote il Bologna. Cazzola voleva cedere il club ma ÃƒÂ¨ costretto a tenerselo, per quanto tempo non si sa. Oggi il presidente spiegherÃƒÂ che, saltato l'affare con la Tag Partners di New York, al vertice della societÃƒÂ restano solo lui e il socio di minoranza Renzo Menarini. Don't fully understand all the details, but it seems our old friend Joe Tacopina (the one who posed with a Roma scarf when he arrived at Fiuminico) has done a legger on Bologna. I thought the deal was done and the club was officially owned by Tacopina and the Tag Partners group, but it seems not, and now Bologna are in trouble. Pity that wasn't us, eh...
