I'd say we are still interested but the deal is at an impass atm. I'd say there's probably a good 7-10 million separating us from Q7. The offer could be 20 million plus Pele while they're after say 25-30 million plus Pele. This is just a stab in the dark, though.

What I would tell Moratti is that he's made his target clear, the CL, and he's brought in a coach he feels can give it to him. Now he has to give the coach what he needs in order to achieve those KPI's and if he doesn't, he cannot expect the CL in Mourinho's first season at Inter which would be fairly difficult anyway. As everyone agrees here, we shouldn't pay what they're asking for Q7 because it's rather high but sooner or later, we'll need to make a decision on whether he's worth the money and I say yes, he is. It's great he's brought in Mourinho, but what good is the coach without the proper players at his disposal?

I've seen your comments on Quaresma guys, but I dont agree with what you are saying. Porto are asking for 33M + Pele for a player who is far from being a consistent player and has yet to prove himself in a big club. People need to start realizing that we are not Chelsea or Man U. Those clubs have a huge introit, whereas we simply rely on Moratti's fortunes, which aren't endless.
Quaresma is not a priority for this season. A winger is a priority, but that doesnt mean it has to be Quaresma. He is a great player, dont get me wrong, but unless Porto gets their request lower, which doesnt seem to be a possibility for the time being, we wont be able to snatch him. Today, we've seen that there is a possibility of getting Rosina. He would cost more or less the same amount as Mancini, which is 3 times cheaper than Quaresma, so I see that as a better possibilty. Once again, we want to compete for the CL, but we are not in the same situation as the other big clubs in England or Spain, with regards to finances.

Altro che si allontana... Come sostenuto anche ieri da Tuttomercatoweb, le dichiarazioni provenienti da Oporto riguardo alla possibilità che Ricardo Quaresma resti nelle file dei Dragoes durante la prossima stagione, non sono che un mero esercizio di pretattica.
Per altro non gradita neppure dallo stesso giocatore che dopo aver appreso le ultime notizie non si è neppure presentato alla sessione di allenamento, adducendo come motivazione (fantomatici?) problemi gastrici.
L'Inter, in realtà, continua a lavorare con forza su questa pista, da sempre quella prediletta di Mourinho. Il giocatore è già stato bloccato, ha accettato il quinquennale proposto da Moratti e non prenderà in considerazione nessuna destinazione diversa dall'Inter. Da stabilire soltanto i tempi di un inevitabile accordo tra le due società, data la volontà dell'Inter di acquistarlo, ma dall'altro lato, anche del Porto di monetizzare con la sua cessione.

According to the latest reports in Italy, Inter Milan are lining up a €20m move for Valencia star David Silva.

The Nerazzurri have been working for most of the summer on three main transfer targets; Amantino Mancini, Ricardo Quaresma and Frank Lampard.

However buying these players has been a painful struggle, as so far only Mancini has arrived, while the deals for Lampard and Quaresma, particularly the latter, look very difficult to complete at this stage.

Inter boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to switch to his favoured 4-3-3 formation next season, but in order to do so, he needs to buy some players who can play as wingers.

Mancini, of course, will be able to cover the left hand side of the trident, but Mourinho is still searching for someone on the right. The latest reports in Italy suggest that The Special One is about to launch a €20m move for Valencia star David Silva.

The 22-year-old was a star at Euro 2008, and has been attracting the interest of both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Valencia have constantly stated the 22-year-old will not be leaving after rumours suggested that either he or David Villa would have to be sold on this summer.

The arrival of the former Telefónica president, Juan Villalonga, as the club’s new owner has helped straighten out the financial problems at the club, but it is believed that he may accept a bid of €20m.

If Valencia did decide to sell, they would prefer to offload Silva to a foreign club, in order to not strengthen any of their domestic rivals.

According to the Corriere della Sera, Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will demand within the next 48 hours that he be allowed to join Inter Milan.

Lampard’s proposed move to Inter has become something of a soap opera this summer. The Nerazzurri have had an initial €10m bid for the England international rejected, and although the 30-year-old appears to want to move to San Siro, Chelsea, and in particular owner Roman Abramovich, have no intention of selling him.

Reports in the English press over the weekend suggested that Lampard would see out the final year of his Chelsea contract before signing for Inter on a Bosman transfer in the summer of 2009.

However, the Corriere della Sera is now claiming that Lampard, who has so far remained quiet on the matter, will openly declare his intentions to join Inter immediately within the next 48 hours.

It is also claimed that Abramovich may be persuaded to do business with Inter, provided troubled Brazilian striker Adriano is included in some form of player exchange deal.

‘The Emperor’ has had a miserable two years on-and-off the pitch, and has spent the last six months on loan at Sao Paulo. Having since rediscovered some of his best form, and returned to Inter, his future with the Italians is still uncertain given the presence of a whole host of top class strikers such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Julio Cruz and Mario Balotelli.

If the Nerazzurri fail to lure Lampard to San Siro, they will instead focus their attentions back on Porto’s Ricardo Quaresma.

Lomba, if Hleb signs for Barca(the deal is almost done) then their transfer market is over, at least as far as the wingers is concerned.I am sure about that.So they will drop their interest in silva.Our main concern should be Liverfekkin'wankscum.
