Poulsen Agrees To Join Juventus

Danish midfielder Christian Poulsen has agreed to join Juventus on a four-year deal that will see him earn €3.5million-per-year...

Christian Poulsen has confirmed that he will play his football in Turin next season. The Danish international has agreed to join Juventus for four years, and is looking forward to his latest challenge.

After convincing the 28-year-old to join La Vecchia Signora, Alessio Secco, the club's sporting director, sat down to negotiate with Sevilla's Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo so that both parties could come to an agreement over the method of payment. Having discussed all the details of the contract, both were satisfield with the end result.

Over the years both clubs have had a very good relationship, and within just a few hours everything was settled. Sevilla cashed in €10 million for the sale, funds they are likely to spend on a reinforcement of their own.

Poulsen won a number of honours at Sevilla, including the UEFA Cup, the European Super Cup and the Copa del Rey.

Barry on the way as deal is done

Gareth Barry will bid a bitter farewell to Villa next week just as American keeper Brad Guzan arrives in Martin O’Neill’s changing squad.

Barry’s disputed exit to Liverfekkin'wankscum is now just days away after the Anfield club finally struck a deal over the methods of payment in what will be a record sale for Villa.

Liverfekkin'wankscum are paying around £15m in cash and throwing right-back Steve Finnan into the pot as well and that will go ahead within 72 hours now that Villa have agreed a time scale of staggered cash payments from Anfield.

That closing act of an angry farewell will coincide with 23-year-old Guzan being recruited for about £1m to fill one of Villa’s two goalkeeping vacancies .

O’Neill believes he has recruited the next big American goalkeeping talent heading for a major career in Europe in the footsteps of Kasey Keller, Brad Friedel and Tim Howard.


And the transfer will complete a meteoric rise for the 6ft 4in keeper who was an unknown on the US football scene less than three years ago but is now considered the best of their coveted group of stoppers.

Si vocifera che la missione in Spagna per il Danese sia servita ad Alessio Secco anche per sondare il terreno per Diego Capel, per il quale, tuttavia, il Siviglia ha respinto un offerta di 15 milioni formulata dal Tottenham. Secondo molti, soprattutto dopo il nuovo grave infortunio occorso ad Andrade, potrebbe essere fatto un investimento per la difesa dove in pole pare esserci Matteo Ferrari.
