Pirlo's rise request refused

Reports in the peninsula suggest that Andrea Pirlo has seen a request for a pay rise turned down by Milan.

Ahmed, to an extent I am with you on this one! But Milan are obviously taking into acount that a 35 year old which he will be by the end of his current contract isn't worth more money. Perhaps they can find a happy medium, more now, and the same as he is getting now in his last 2 years.

'Tec, on Vittorio Cecchi Gori - I can well remember how he brought La Viola from 2'nd place in Serie A to be relegated inside 6 months which lost them several top players...then to bankruptcy in Serie B. Abbiati, Kalac and Dida between the pipes is not too shabby.

Nesta and Kaladze is a winning combination with Maldini and Bonera who are going to backup the central defence. That is just fine. Zambrotta, Oddo, Jankulovski and Favalli, along with Bonera will cover the sides.

Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Flamini and Emerson represent a fine CM core. Don't forget Abate who will be the ultimate utility weapon.

Kaka and Seedorf in the trequarista role. Sounds amazing.

Inzaghi, Pato and Borriello should surely be enough.

Listen Milan fans... you are not in the CL. Your team right now, may be good enough to win it. Why they hell would you lash out silly money on players like Ronaldinho and Adebayor when you won't even be playing enough games to keep your current attackers happy. If Milan can't win the scudetto with the following lineup, then maybe they need to fire Ancelotti.

Milan have picked up two of the best players in their positions in the world in Flamini and Zambrotta. They picked up the top 3 scorer in Calcio who is coming off a red hot season. And they picked up a solid keeper in Abbiati. They are not in CL... what the hell are the fans complaining about?
