Okaka close to Bologna

Roma striking starlet Stefano Chuka Okaka is closing in on a move to newly promoted Bologna. The promising predator spent last term on loan in Emilia-Romagna at Second Division side Modena and is now looking for regular Serie A football.

In ogni caso si tratterà di un prestito 'oneroso': la Roma conosce il valore di Okaka e come accaduto con il Modena la società non è intenzionata a concedere il prestito gratuito".

Bologna, solo Bologna. O ci sono altre società interessate al giocatore?

"Diverse società erano e sono tuttora interessate ad Okaka, ma la Roma in questo momento sta trattando con i rossoblu. Stefano ha diverse estimatrici nella serie cadetta, in serie A invece si erano fatte avanti il Siena e la Reggina, oltre al Lecce ovviamente".

Bologna per giocare, con un pensiero sempre rivolto alla Roma, giusto?

"Assolutamente sì. Okaka è consapevole che ora ha bisogno di misurarsi e maturare più esperienza possibile: per questo ha scelto Bologna. Tuttavia la Roma resta sempre in cima ai suoi pensieri. Vorrebbe ripercorrere le orme di Aquilani: il suo sogno è quello di tornare, perchè lui si sente un giocatore della Roma".

Let me just be Edzo for a minute and say that I thought this was a thread devoted to transfers, rumours and K extensions. K meaning contract in lawyer parlance. Not that I mind going off on a tangent.

I suppose Forestieri would be Prade and Rosella's idea of bringing in a ready-made player for now rather than gambling on a guy like Huntelaar or Baptista who might take a year or two to adjust.

The agent of Thiago Neves, one of Brazilian football’s rising stars, has called for Roma to make an approach for the gifted hitman.

Neves is currently plying his trade at Fluminese, who were runners-up in the Copa Libertadores.

I believe I read something the other day about Cerci and Okaka where Bruno Conti says they will not be sold and are important to the clubs future. I believe it was on romanews but I could be wrong. By the time you read all the news and try to decipher all the BS it is difficult to remember anything.

The Cerci injury should not concern the club. Considering the club are pinning their hopes on a 32 year old who suffered a more serious knee injury. What bothers me is Cerci could have been incorporated into the team through training with Totti every day. Now that would have inspired the kid. Obviously the injuries are not the exact same and the recovery process could be faster for one than the other but they could have figured out a way.

Looks like the Mancini deal is done for close to 15 million euros. It is funny that Mourinho called Arshavin too inconsistent and then acquired Mancini. I have no hard feelings toward Mancini. He was important to this club and did not cause distractions over his signing. His signature would not have been a problem if there was no cap. Too bad we will only see him on the bench and in the Mourinho dog house.
