i still think that carlo's key mistake in the past 3-4 years was not playing to gilardino's strengths. thats my theory, but it can only be proven correct if gilardino explodes with fiorentina. gilardino shouldve easily had 30 goals a season in our jersey.

although he did waste quite a number of chances... its still a damn shame to see him gone, ill always be a big fan of him.

I wouldn't blame Gila's bad experience on Carlo though, but rather it was not a good fit, our system does not fit him as we play narrow midfield and focus on low-paced, short-passing style. With the likes of Kaka,Pirlo,Seedorf etc. all fitting well in this style then it does not make alot of sense to change it for Gila. I think he's a very good player, a traditional striker, but also psychologically he's not the strongest of players mentally, so thats another thing to consider. I think he'll do well in Fiorentina, and I hope to except against Milan of course.

I feel disgusted that we're after Adebayor. I could be wrong but I dont like this one bit, specially with the price rumoured

yeah man, i completely agree about adebayor.

at first i was for it, but with all the baggage involved this wont be an easy trip.

hes a quality player, no doubt about it, but he is still very unproven and its a huuuuge risk gambling on his one season.

ronaldinho would be the best way to go, honestly. i can't see a better fit than ronaldinho to our system. he would be a monster.

i just hope we dont stop our efforts for R10, this man is pure genius, i wanna see him more than any other player in the rossoneri.

i dont know where this sudden r10 infatuation has manifested from, but i feel he would be the best fit for our system.

There are many rumours flying about Ronaldinho becoming the next brazilian to join Milans vast collection of Brazilian stars along with Alexandre Pato possibly joining in the summer. i would like to discuss with you guys the possablity of Ronaldinho coming to Milan and what effect that would have on Serie A for the good and bad.

The Good points.

If Ronaldinho has his heart set on a move to milan then silvio berlusconi must dip deep into his pockets to ensure the rossoneri would snap up the current worl and european player of the year. Forget about his poor showing at the world cup- did anybody apart from Kaka shine for the selcao? Just marvel at his form in both la liga and the champions league over the last couple of years. The Diavologot a first hand glimpse of what to expect if they bought into a 70 million euro player just look at the dinho sucker punchin the 2004-05 champions league when he gave a deft chip over to guily to finish the killing blow to milan.

i know that luxury buys are more of an inter thing to do, but milan need somebody to fill the boots of Sheva. Kaka could do the job, but why overload him hes young let him express himself run wild dont pin him down now, he wont be like that forever remember. and if your scoffing at the thought of dinho been a goal machine well consider this no less than 17 goals in 29 primera liga appreances added to seven in 12 cl matches last season. yes i know its not quite Sheva status but please remember Pippo, Gila , and oleveira would be expected to chip in with a few as well not counting Kaka's goals alone.

Milans midfield is arguably there biggest strength so it would be easy to assume that bringing an unprdictable fantasia in would be a bit of a gamble but there would be no need to change the team to fit him in you could have Pirlo and Gattuso deeper in a defensive midfield place sparying the ball around from deep, Kaka and Seedorf pulling the strings from a higher position leavinf Inzaghi/Gila/oleveira upfront with Roni as more of an secondry striker. Thus giving berlu his wish of two men up top and carletto the missing piece to his xmas tree formation albeit a midfield model.

Not only does the move make sense froma playing point of view there is also the commercial aspect to the transfer thus attracting more people wearing the milan jersy with his name accross the back £50 a shirt not bad considering world wide sales also this could end the myth that serie a is boring and defensive.

The Bad Points

Why do Milan need Dinho they have got Kaka who has said that he wants to help also when he gets the ball and puts his afterbuners on and sets off for the goal nobody can stop him so why have dinho hogging the ball out wide when Milans wonderboy could be bombing towards the goal. Kaka is a hard worker on the other hand a hard worker Dinho is not he dosnt track back like Kaka does he will have a walk back to half way to catch his breath not running the length of the pitch like Kaka does and then back again. Also with Gourcuff, Kaka, Andrea Pirlo and Gattuso secure of there spots why splash out £30 million? on another midfielder. Milan buying Dinho is very much like wearing a diamond encrusted suit seems fun at first but then you feel foolish after a bit so is the investment in Dinho the best move for milan or could £30 million be better invested in some defenders.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says his club will sign either Ronaldinho or Emmanuel Adebayor - but not both.

Galliani insists Arsenal are ready to do business over Adebayor, who is also interesting Barcelona, who arwww.skysports.come undergoing a summer overhaul under new coach Pep Guardiola.

Barca are ready to let Ronaldinho leave, but so far Milan have been unable to match either the club or the player's financial demands.

Should they now turn their attentions to Adebayor, that could be good news for Manchester City, the only other club to have made an offer to the Brazilian superstar.

"Let's be clear about this: Adebayor is the alternative to Ronaldinho and vice-versa," Galliani said in a statement on Milan's official website.

"We consider Kaka and (Alexandre) Pato first-team players. Having two players of the calibre of Adebayor and Ronaldinho would create a lot of problems in the dressing room."

On Adebayor, who the Gunners value at around £36million, he added: "If Adebayor decides to leave Arsenal, we are certainly interested.

"The English club have told us they are available to be contacted to negotiate for the player. This is a step forward, but the road is still long."

Here's a question for Milanisti and Romanisti alike - who do you think will prove to have been the better buy, Zambrotta or Riise. I imagine all of us are much fonder of Zambro (clearly the fact that he's Italian and not-ginger stand very much to his credit), but I wonder if he will prove to be the better acquisition.
