Juve poised for Poulsen

Juventus chief Giovanni Cobolli Gigli hints that the Bianconeri are leaning towards signing Christian Poulsen, as Xabi Alonso distances himself.

The Turin giants are looking for the answer to their midfield riddle after last summer’s signings Tiago Mendes and Sergio Almiron flopped badly.

The initial target had been Liverpool’s Spanish star Alonso, but pugnacious Sevilla man Poulsen seems to have taken his place on the shopping list.

If Juve pull out of signing Alonso and sign that scumbag Poulson instead all because of a difference of a few million in agreeing a fee with the Liver'scum then good luck to them, that would be quite the cock-up. Just wait until Poulson gets a taste of his own medicine and comes up against DDR, who will break the fucker in two just by looking at him.

Gigli: Fans Will Love Poulsen

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli is confident that the club’s fans will soon fall in love with imminent new signing Christian Poulsen.

The Bianconeri are well known to be in the market for a top class centre midfielder, and this has seen them pursue the likes of Alberto Aquilani, Xabi Alonso, Dejan Stankovic and Xabi Alonso.

However, according to reports in the Italian press this morning, it seems that it will be Sevilla hardman Christian Poulsen who will be arriving in Turin, and a deal could be completed as early as today.

The Juve fans have been very vocal in who they believe the club should sign, and have made it clear that Xabi Alonso is their first choice. The tifosi have also declared their opposition against Inter man Stankovic.

Old Lady President Gigli believes that the fans will take to Poulsen, if he does indeed complete his transfer from Sevilla.

Reports: Poulsen To Sign For Juve Today

According to reports in Italy, Juventus will probably complete the signing of Sevilla’s controversial midfielder Christian Poulsen today, but if this doesn’t happen the Dane will certainly be a Bianconero by the end of tomorrow.

Juve have been heavily linked with Poulsen over the last week or so as they continue their chase for a top class centre midfielder.

Yesterday it was reported in the Italian media that the Bianconeri were just hours away from signing the 28-year-old, although last night President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli tried to play down the speculation by saying that nothing had been sorted just yet.

However, there are fresh reports in Italy this morning that Juve have tied up a deal for Poulsen, and that he will join the club by tomorrow night at the very latest, and possibly even today.

The former Schalke man has a minimum fee release clause of €10m in his Sevilla contract that Juve are ready to pay.

Denmark international Poulsen is something of an infamous figure in Italy, following his clash with Francesco Totti at Euro 2004, when the Roma symbol spat at him and subsequently got banned for three games, after being provoked.

Poulsen has also had high-profile clashes with Gennaro Gattuso and Carlo Ancelotti, with the latter labelling the Dane a “cowardâ€

With a team like this, Juve are destined for many 0-0 draws. Poulsen?? That's like telling your friends you're going to go out and buy a Mercedes S Class and you drive up in a Toyota Camry. Whatever, we'll see how it goes but Alonso would've made me feel alot better on the defensive and offensive side but Poulsen is going to be a target of yellows and reds. Looks like we're going for brute force instead of going goal for goal vs teams. Better off signing Makele too.

So...where's this mystery player?? Is it Corradi??
