Looks like Brighi wants to stay, and he will renew his contract with us until 2012.

Not surprisingly, Baptista's agent has once again said there has been no contact with Roma for his client, either for a full sale or a loan, and in all likelihood he will stay in Madrid for the new season.

We have officially loaned Rosi to Livorno for the season. Appears to be a straight-forward loan deal with no options to buy or co-ownership, thank feck.

Roma sporting director Bruno Conti has told fans to be patient as a new striker will arrive by the start of the new season. The Giallorossi are currently strengthening ahead of the new season but signing a striker has, so far, proven illusive. A number of players were touted including FiorentinaÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Adrian Mutu but that possibility seems distant after the Romanian striker declared he would stay with La Viola. Conti has now revealed that he is wheeling and dealing and a new hit-man should arrive soon.

Shield, for some reason I can't access ilromanista from home - does anyone have any idea why this might be? It's been like this for a while. I can't access it on either of our computers at home, but when in Edinburgh I was able to get to it through this laptop, so it can't be something in the settings or firewall within the computer. Anyway, Shield, if you can get to ilromanista and there's a copy with the BC interview over there, could you paste it for me here to flick through? There's nothing about Juan and Cicinho and Mexes in the copy up on romanews.eu.

I'll try that, cajun - I was just surprised that I had no trouble when in Edinburgh, on a different internet connection, so I assumed it wasn't something specific to do with the way my computer is set up.

Maro, I checked here in the office on a PC using both Firefox and IE and there were no problems. The only thing I can think of is that URL is blocked by your internet provider in your area for some reason. Try the full URL: http://www.ilromanista.it/

Shield, according to the article above is the only up to date info I have. Sport Italia is guaranteed later today to say something though and I'll try to catch the mercato prog...

Alberto's father asked for Ã¢â€šÂ¬2.5 mil per season, our club offered Ã¢â€šÂ¬1.5 originally.

Prade & Conti are supposedly now offering a 5 year deal worth Ã¢â€šÂ¬2.25 mil per season...
