Nothing like losing a loved one to bring a person back to reality, maro!

As for our calciomercato, at least the hand of fate dealt us a little kindness in taking Kewell to Turkey. He was out injured for much of his time in Liverfekkin'wankscum...much as I tried to look on the bright side if we'd had to accept him as a lupo giallorosso I couldn't see Kewell the Jewel being reborn!

Vargas was a big loss for Roma. Especially since he went to Fiorentina and not a big club. But, a striker is the only real NEED for Roma right now. I think that you may want to look into Mario Gomez, Huntelaar or Gomis. Maybe they are too much money.

We seem obsessed with Mutu at the moment. He is a quality player and would suit our system very well, but I'm not so sure about splashing out Ã¢â€šÂ¬20m+ on a 29-year-old. The next few days should be decisive to know if he'll be leaving Fiorentina or not. Don't get me wrong, I would be happy to get Mutu, but feel we should focus on a more natural out-and-out centre-forward. Huntelaar remains my ideal choice, and I wouldn't completely rule out our chances of signing him. He will most likely leave Ajax (who have already bought a replacement) and we could get him if we're willing to spend Ã¢â€šÂ¬25m on him, but it will all depend on if an EPL club make a move for him, which would completely rule us out.

He will be at Villa Stuart tomorrow at 10:30 and will be presented around 18:30, and will cost us Ã¢â€šÂ¬13m, earning Ã¢â€šÂ¬1.8m-a-season. Not sure if its true, can't find any other sources, but at least its movement. Finally! Simeone will have competition for crown of worst finisher on the team.

I actually quite like Pavlyuchenko and think he could develop into an excellent player with Roma. His scoring record in Russia is pretty impressive (I know, I know he did play in Russia after all) and his shot can be pretty lethal - Russia - Holland anyone? I'd rather have Mutu though as he is a proven serie a product, would slot perfectly into the Roma system, and would help take Roma to the next level immediately.

I like Pavlyuchenko too and think he would be a nice addition, despite our earlier rumblings in the Transfer thread. His strike record is decent (67 in 136 for Spartak) and he is a big tall physical player who could add another dimension to our attack. The only downfall would be he didn't look so clinical in front of goal in the Euro's, but then again thats only based on a few games so you never know.

Alright, I'm beat, off to bed. Its been a long day (just back from playing two hours of astro). Interesting to see how this Pava news develops tomorrow.
